My friend (his cousin) called me last night after he got off the phone with Anthony. Anthony called him. He knows a hard deadline is approaching and unless he's BSing to his cousin, he is making arrangements to refund half of it. He claims he got scammed out of the other half. Not holding my breath and I told his cousin (my friend) not to believe anything he says. If he got scammed out of half of my money, what's his excuse for giving the Hawaiian guy the runaround over his $7K for the last 7 months?

DrMike,lets just say you do get half your money back(20K),but rest assured there will be a person or people who will be scammed out of their money in order for you to recieve yours.There is no way in hell anthony can get that kind of money without conning someone or people out of their hard eaned money.

I believe he's only 27 and if he plans on raising a kid and marrying his bf then he'll need a steadier income.

Going after him via the legal system is expensive, but my wife and I agree we can't just let him take our money and walk so he's going to learn a valuable lesson.

probably because he knows who to scam, regular joes such as yourself. he probably avoids scamming people of the type that are crazy enough to do something to him outside of the legal system.

This guy will be tried in the States and I know the Americans don't mess around when it comes to breaking the law. You might have him on a few counts of fraud, but the amount is a relatively small (60-100K?)

Even if you manage to win in court and put him behind bars, how much will he get? 5 years? He might even be eligible for early parole. At 32-35 years of age, he'll be out and I'm sure he'll go back to scamming people. What else does he know?

When did I say I thought I was getting my money back? You probably have no idea how the legal system works.

I don't think he's been in trouble before so jail time will be good for him. Actually it won't be good for him, but it will be good for us :)
