I just parked there, so the walk to NE1 is shorter. Honestly I don't pay for parking unless i'm at school till 3:30 - 5:30. I think the weekly pass only works at student parking or anywhere after 4:30.

In Burnaby campus they were left on a huge rack. I take one every year but never manage to use it.

That's just a minimum for applying isn't it? Thought u need a way higher GPA to get accepted.
