Gonna find my shovel in my garage and get ready haha. 2008 was pissing, kept getting stuck in my back alleyway, ended having to walk/bus instead. The snow was too high that year.

IDK what plows are worth but a good used Bobcat S250 (loaded, under 5000 hrs), bucket w/ consumable blade and a trailer can be had for around $35K. Unlike a plow, it can make money year-round and the trailer can transport most vehicles.
Both his skid steers (Case brand, older models) and his trailer were probably worth under $50K.

I dont need a trailer to haul around stuff, cause I can just load it into my Roll off and i'll be good to go

Yup, our S250 was $60K+, new with a cab, door, AC, 72" bucket, stick control and 2 speed. Actually, we got a 72" sweeper as well.
I have a 16' flatdeck and a rolloff bin truck (machine fits inside bin) but prefer the trailer in the winter, just in case the roads are bad or there are a lot of hills, since they're towed by 4x4's.

For us but in eastern canada and europe they have the worst winter from recent memory. Remember winter doesn't normally get bad until jan so hopefully we will still get a number of dumps this year. Posted via RS Mobile |

Huge ass winter snow, 2012, global warming, all the same stuff. I don't think Vancouver could snow so much that we couldn't deal with it. At most it only affects ppl a couple days a year. Seems like a huge waste of $$ to get snowtires in the Lower Mainland...

Driving without winter tires will not void your insurance in the event of a claim or mean that you are automatically at-fault for a crash. If you get in a crash where winter tires could have helped, it may be a deciding factor in determining whether or how much you are at-fault.
