I'm still contemplating whether I should raise my car up or not for this winter. That said, I should probably think about buying winter tires pretty soon as well... |

awd + snow tires = haven't got stuck yet.

I have a couple buddys with them and they work awesome in the snow.
And I also have a rear locker which helps a bit as well.

buying snow tires last season was the best thing i ever did! even though we basically had only a single day of snow last year, i'll never use all-seasons again during winter.

I just ordered a set of 4 Nitto winters 205/55/16 for about $475 shipped to WA. I hope this goes through, cause the website wouldn't let me enter a Canadian billing address, so I had to make up a US one. They also sent me a blank confirmation email.

Hopefully my all season tires do fine. Never driven my car in the snow before, this'll be the first year. Will probably end up taking transit most of the time.
Also I hope transit is prepared for this, I remember in 2008 I'd be waiting for busses for like 1- 2 hours. It was just terrible .

The problem is when there's too much snow, many cars lift off the ground. At that point the world's best snow tires don't do you a lick of good. *sigh*
Anyone know if it's illegal to park your car overnight on a big street for days on end, if there are no signs saying otherwise? Might have to do that this year.
