How do you find ways to comfort them? How do you come up with advice with a situation you don't fully understand ( workplace , family drama, friend drama, BLAH BLAH BLAH )

Honestly, I just listen, knod my head, tell her everything will be okay and hug her, I don't think she looks for advice from me, she just wants a hug and to know it will all be alright.

just be their for her..hold her when shes crying, give her your shoulder for her to lean on...theres really nothing much really that you can do..because you can never entirely understand her situation

life's shitting on me at the moment too, and i just learn to deal/cope with it...nothing really that anyone else can do

True. When I'm down about something, I find that I'll just go to my bf's and just say nothing cause it's nice to have someone there for you, even if he doesn't say anything. A reassuring hug is often enough.

my ex was there for me when my parents split during my career change and losing my house. She was there for support all the way and didnt tell me what to do.
