I bought mine back in September and I find they're a little sketchy compared to the DWS06 they replaced... but I couldn't take the weak DWS sidewalls anymore after replacing 2 blown tires... lol

twitchyzero 01-13-2020 09:10 PM

they've been fine for 3 winters until the sloped backalley turns into ice rink (trying to back in without shoveling the short driveway)

for the next set i'm ineterested in the crossclimate+ but apparently after a year or two they just become like any a/s tires

!LittleDragon 01-13-2020 09:24 PM

Maybe it's the width of my tires. They're 245 front, 275 rear so they don't dig in like it should. At least the car is like 4500 pounds, the weight gives it decent traction... lol

yeah i'm on shrimpy 205s with motor on the drive axle

Had to help push a guy that had snow tires. Only problem was his snow tires which he think has enough tread is actually at zero percent. He didnt know snow tires have their own wear category.

No man, it's a feeble glimpse to what we'll have in about 3 months before the inevitable apocalyptic shitshow that tonight/tomorrow morning will be.

are you talking about nordel way heading towards 84 Ave?

It was more around 112-116ave. I just thought to myself, if my wifes SUV FWD with snow tires is having the slightest bit of difficulty, everyone RWD or all seasons would be fucked.

104th by tannery road is really bad from what I can remember last year. That massive hill.

Even Richmond is snowing hard

Jmac 01-15-2020 05:01 AM

At my old apartment, I'd be at work today as it's only about 50m to plowed/salted roads.

New house, immediate 18 degree slope with 15" of snow on top of compacted snow/ice and then another several km down unplowed undulating roads before getting to the highway; nope, not going to happen.

yray 01-15-2020 05:47 AM

snow day

we did it guys

Okay, it's seriously bad out there. plenty of cars abandoned on the side of the roads is causing havoc.
