Picked up my 64gb SSD and 2X 2TB WD Green Drives at NCIX and MemoryExpress. Just reformatted and holy fuck SSD's are monster.

Mine are coming tmr. What colour did you get?

jonwon 12-29-2010 08:47 PM

black. i thought white would get dirty easily since im gonna be using them when i hit up the gym

one bad thing about them is the active noise cancellation makes a quiet buzzing sound. not that big of a deal though. wouldnt pay full price for these

Dentz 12-29-2010 08:51 PM

Walked into Best Buy an picked up a set of Shure SRH750DJ's for $130, then went to Tom Lee Music and picked up a MA400 Headphone amp for $21. You'll need an amp to drive these headphones, unless you're powering them through a mixer - I use my amp for my computer, and my synth. You can use these headphones on a low signal/un-amplified source (iPod), but they'll sound like shit.

Just got my Epson all-in one-today from BB for $33...costs less than the ink i needed to refill my old printer :)

if i had left 2 mins earlier I would have missed the mailman

I was thinking of using them at the gym, but I really don't want to sweat all over it.

Ch28 12-29-2010 09:08 PM

Canceled my web order @ Memory Express for the BenQ 24" monitor for $140 because they were taking way too long. I ordered it last Friday and it was still in "new order" status this afternoon. I called the Richmond store and they had stock left so I just picked it up from there after work.

Thing that sucks is that anything less than 720p looks like shit now :lol Even 720p videos look bad haha

ya.. the cushioning at the top of the headband looks like material that could absorb sweat lol

lilaznviper 12-29-2010 09:43 PM

still waiting on my 64gb ssd from memory express to ship

You're not serious right? If your computer has a soundcard you do not need an amp. Even if you don't have a sound card the on board sound chips should be fine and your headphones won't sound like shit. I rather crank the volume dial a bit more than a little bit less to protect my ears. ;)

Has anyone tried both Dre Beats Studio and Pros? Your thoughts?

In terms of noise cancelling i found the Studio's better. Pros had better bass but
I can't justify the bump in price for the minimal gains in bass. If you already have the Studio's I'd hold off on buying the Pros.

skyxx 12-29-2010 10:59 PM

They aren't bad but for the price I'd go a different route since there are many other headphones out there that are better and cheaper.

If you can get them at a better price then go for it but paying them at retail is definitely not worth it. For the price I'd rather you get some Monitoring pro/DJ headphones from Sennheiser, Shure etc etc.(cheaper too)

Vansterdam 12-30-2010 07:14 AM

i got a set of broken beats studios.. :(

anyone wanna help me get a new pair with their receipt/warranty from bestbuy ?

ill pay them 50$ :)

apparently you can trade in the headphones as many times as you want if it is defected or if you broke them by accident with the best buy warranty

let me know!
