thanks rageguy :)

I had an test/interview for early enumeration.

One thing I have to say is, AGE DISCRIMINATION.

I'm assuming mid 20's will have a more difficult time to get in than the adults?

Alphamale 02-02-2011 10:06 AM

Something like that.

Turned down for a supervisory position because of my age when they told me it's because of my test score. It is highly improbable that my test score was less that 90-95% because the test was retardedly easy.

My suspicions were confirmed when my sister was recommended for both positions despite the fact that I know she either scored equally or lower than me because I know she just isn't that bright w/ the tested material.

Half true. My supervisor was an undergrad in UBC, so around 19-22 years old. The other enumerators are 70% between 19-22, and then the rest were either chinese c-lais or old white men.

yeah but imagine bossing around old people. that'd be so painful. i mean it'd make sense to have the brighter people lead but you dont understand how choked old people get when a little guy shows them up.

^ good thing i hit the gym :troll:
I think some adults will admire how a young individual is doing the job because it shows that not all young adults are useless. It really depends on how you lead them cuz they'll obviously hate you if you're a dick and all. But I got a call yesterday and going in for interview at downtown next friday!

i applied actually a couple days after seeing this thread, which was around jan.15. I went in for the testing today, and it was pretty simple. Just 15- 19 multiple choice questions depending on what position u want. After writing the test they reviewed my test and handed me a paper stating that they would call me in for an interview. so ill have to wait and c what happens

Gh0stRider 02-05-2011 07:51 PM

i applied on the 20th. maybe they'll call next week.

Pretty sure it depends on how old you are. If you're an old guy working there I doubt you would being admiring a young person being your supervisor.

I have been working since I was 15 and I've never met an old person who thinks like that. They either resent their younger superior or get depressed about their progress in life. Maybe when you get older you'll understand.

donthatethegame 02-06-2011 02:07 PM

Do they call the applicants who applied earlier first? i just found this thread and my friend applied like 2 weeks ago so on like the 24th and he just told me he got another job so if they called him for this he would have to decline.

teaoh 02-07-2011 09:23 PM

Missed a call since I was in class. Will call back tomorrow since the person left a voicemail

alpinestars 02-09-2011 12:33 AM

What was the interview like? I mean, what kind of questions did they ask? Do they tell you if you got the job right away?

busdriverman 02-09-2011 12:40 AM

applied

Answering those questions wouldn't be fair game, ethically speaking :troll:.
