Turned down for a supervisory position because of my age when they told me it's because of my test score. It is highly improbable that my test score was less that 90-95% because the test was retardedly easy.

My suspicions were confirmed when my sister was recommended for both positions despite the fact that I know she either scored equally or lower than me because I know she just isn't that bright w/ the tested material.

Pics of said sister otherwise you are just lying.

the test was brutally easy, which makes it convenient to feel over-confident about it and fly through it too quickly. i did the test in 15 minutes confidently, feeling as if I got 100%. ran through the questions a second time and I caught 4 questions (20%) that were wrong.

perhaps you really failed the test, these guys having nothing to lose or gain by lying to you. whats stopping them from saying "there was candidate who scored lower but fit our criteria better"? nothing. you got too confident and failed the test

^possible as I've thought of that conclusion, but they won't reveal the results.

It doesn't matter to me anymore really.

Question... If I haven't gotten a call by now... would that mean my chances of getting the job would be close to 0? thanks.

d1 02-09-2011 10:52 PM

Considering the employment period starts around May, I'd say you still have a fairly good chance.

xmisstrinh: I got a call today, got scheduled to the take the test in Surrey on Tuesday, so it's not too late. They are still trying to call all the applicants.

Also, does anyone know what the testing is like? Do you just go there, and take the test with several other applicants? Should I dress more formally, etc?

teaoh 02-11-2011 06:59 PM

^I got a test on the 22nd in Downtown. I asked if I should dress formally and she said it was just writing a test so dressing up wouldnt be needed.

I was also told to bring ID (driver license to show that you have a valid license) and 2 references (I think) to prove that I worked where I stated my previous job was.

Do you still have the record of the phone number they used to contact you?

wix 02-12-2011 03:33 PM

It's a cellphone number that started with 778, I think they just have a bunch of people calling the applicants with their cellphones.

I'll confirm - it is. Took the test for the enumerator position because apparently I won't be working enough hours to be a supervisor. As for the test, it's probably the easiest test I've taken since fifth grade so there's really nothing to worry about.

distanc3 02-15-2011 02:32 PM

Got a call this morning to confirm if I'm still interested and convinced me to do the supervisory position. Anyone else who applied for the supervisory position been asked to bring 3-4 work (no personal)references?
