^ actually, my car is slow Vs real fast cars out there......any modified 993 turbo and up would make me look silly, however, my car was never built for straight line speed.

My buddy has a 800hp modified GT2, everytime I drive his car, you don't accelerate, you just wish where you want to be and you are there.....having big power is great, but big power and traction is orgasmic......

Berzerker 01-19-2011 10:56 AM

No one wants to comment on the Civic being the fastest car so far????

Here's another civic on pump gas just for all you "luxury" car guys out there....

He's a member of RS as well.

Berz out.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA. You're level of ignorance is outstanding. Albeit, this isn't Tampa, or Houston... But a 911 and an M6 are most definitely not the fastest cars on the road here.

It's a shame really, because porsches are really the only "supercar" manufacturer that I like. And you're making porsche owners look like idiots. So tuck your e-penis away and go slide into something backwards.

Oh, and my vehicle could pwn you anyday.

nurburgring time: 7:56

My GT3 is modified with Cargraphic headers, exhaust, high flow filter, DME tune, so should be a tad faster

C/D tested the GT3
0-60 mph at 4.0 secs
and the 1/4mile at: 12.3s.

I can't find any reference to a 12.0s 1/4 mile time. Care to list it?

C/D times are usually the quickest because they adjust for atmospheric conditions and use a high friction test track for launching.

So... They "tune" the car. Car's are a lot less susceptible to "atmospheric" conditions. Unless you're at 6000'.

Probably look retarded. That's fine, I don't plan on wearing one of those things... Just think of all the car parts I could buy.

Learn to read. Where did I say that a 911 and M6 are the fastest cars on the road?

Aww. Thanks for proving my point about the bitterness thing and the desperate need to compete for all those whining in my thread. See below:

My understanding is that their published results are tested times mathematically adjusted since cars could be tested at different times of the year (different ambient temps) etc.

Marco911 01-19-2011 09:13 PM

Current Standings for the stock vehicles:

0-60:
1) Z3Guy - Porsche GT3 4.0s
2) Marco911 - Porsche 911 C4S 4.5s
3) CharlieH - BMW M6 - 4.6s

Qtr-mile
1) Z3Guy- Porsche Gt3 12.3s
2) CharlieH - BMW M6 - 12.8s
3) Marco911 - 911C4S - 13.1s

Right because a fwd car on slicks has so much bearing on what a "fast street car" is. Enjoy the torque steer.

So what're they testing the cars at then? Standard temp. 15C? Unless they're being cheaters and dropping the temp to -5,-10.

This thread has nothing to do with simply "street cars." Notice he asked about both stock AND modified? Nothing states they have to be daily driven road cars.

Berzerker 01-19-2011 09:42 PM

Tommy's Teg ran 11.xx on Street tires and pulls on Liter bikes on the highway... but that's just a shitty FWD Honda...

I call B.S. There are members here that either fabricate the cars they own (hi Hyde), or post about their parent's, uncle, friend's car. The rules are clear. You have to have the car registered in your name.

Actually FWD cars have problems hooking up during launch on street tires. Anyone know of a FWD stock car that can break 6 seconds to 60?
