Hey guys look at me! Look at me! I'm so rich I drive a porsche! What's that you drive a honda? You don't compare to me as a human being. I despise of you. Ew is that an infiniti you drive? What a pos it doesn't even have a porsche badge. It also isn't in the 1% of the fastest cars on the road. My porsche goes super fast! I read about it in a magazine! Porsche porsche. I'm better than you, porsche. MY WORDS ARE GOLD!

Sweet engine and tuned exhaust note does not a sports car make. Steering feel is dead. Dynamically it isn't even as balanced as a 335ci. It's a sporty car, not a sports car.

wouldn't it be great, if we could resolve everyone's issue on the track. Especially for the people who have not actually run before. no poseur, no elite, no more typing! Sometime in April 2011, just bring your cars to the track and sort out who the real losers are!

Gabalmighty found this out recently, when he tried to compile a list of faster cars.

I feel sorry for you, there's nothing greater than a true adrenaline rush.

And that list was compiled in the span of 10'ish minutes and included cars which were faster than your great porsche. Berz posted one too. So, I didn't try. I did.

Like posing right?! You don't have to take it to a track but you should drive it like it was meant to be driven at least once in a while. Judging by much you try and justify how awesome your car is you don't own it to drive it, or enjoy owning a vehicle with it's capabilities. You own it to pose in it. You're not an enthusiast, you're a poseur.

Like you are changing the topic outside of the scope of this thread?
No I'm still talking about fast cars on RS. A demographic of which you're barely a part of.

(1) A C4S is still quicker than 99% of the cars on the road. Gabalmighty found this out recently, when he tried to compile a list of faster cars.
(2) I also have a 911 Turbo, which is even faster.

(1) No it's not. The list of production cars that are faster than your paltry 320hp C4S is very, very large.
(2) Woopeeee so did I :fullofwin:
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/7...0503321179.jpg

(3) You clearly have a terrible perception of what "quick" is. In the grand scheme of the vehicle enthusiast, you and your car are slow.

GabAlmighty 01-22-2011 06:51 PM

^^^Lol, it's only 320hp?

And JD... Take me for a ride.

well i didnt say it's superior to porsche in overall performance. we had both the cars side by side driving on highway, and both manual transmissions. I'm not going into details, and it doesn't really matter if you believe it or not. I have driven quite a few different porsches in my life and I can say 996 C4S doesn't really offer anything special in any category. Personally rather have a 993 C2S/C4S, not necessarily more powerful but definitely more pleasant to drive. real Porsches are RWD and non-tiptronic PDK bullshit.

Vale46Rossi 01-22-2011 08:13 PM

Wow this thread blows my mind and makes me see that Marco is a complete retard...

There are so many cars on the street that will tear his car up...

Cars are just getting faster with new generations.

There are no problems buying an old car and being proud of it, but he takes it to a whole new level...

I was just driving down Alexandra Rd today for dinner I found 4 different C63's, 1 S63, 1 SL63, 2 M3, 1 M5' and many other including astons and porsches.

Holy shit give it a rest Marco many C-Lai have cars which are much faster than yours and they are not going to come on the forum to tell you this.

Even revscene has many cars that will obliterate your car which includes R35's and LP640's

And there is nothing wrong with that because you worked hard and bought the car you wanted, but just don't be blinded by your ego and think you have the best thing ever.

/Rant

Have a good day and enjoy your vehicle in good health.

But if you don't agree... Well Go Fuck Your Self

Agreed. Too many computers ruin a car, even awd... Except old school quattro's... I'll take one of those any day of the week.

I stated that it was faster than 99% of vehicles on the road. If there was a large, large list of production cars that are faster, I wouldn't say it was at the 99th percentile. The list of cars that Gabthegibbon came up with were all rare cars.

I disagree. The data and stats back me up. Your opinion is unsubstantiated.

Professional reviewers disagree with you but you are entitled to your opinion, for what it's worth.

1) You act as if all these high end cars are common place on the road. They are all pretty rare

2) The C4S accelerates quicker than some of those cars you've mentioned and if you are looking at a road course such as the Nurbringring, quicker than a few others.

Bottom line is that it is still a very fast car.

You're are ignorant and you are trying to stroke your ego.

Sorry but these cars are common....

The c63 it self 0-60 in 3.9

The SL63 is 4.4

The M5 is 4.5

The CTS-V is 4.0

I am pretty sure I dont even have to get you the times for the R35 and the LP

so in reality your car is not that fast.

Please stfu and stop trying to stroke your little ego.

C4S is fast... PFFT

PuYang 01-23-2011 11:15 AM

2011 Mustang GT 5.0: 4.3 seconds
2010 camaro SS: 4.6 seconds

Good for you bubble boy :lol Just because you don't like that your car isn't comparitively quick anymore doesn't make it any less true! I'm not sorry if you're butthurt. I'm also not going to let you drag me down to your level of intelligence just so you can beat me with experience, so I'm going to check out of this thread.

Marco911 reminds me of Christian Bale's character in American Psycho. "The world revolves around me, look at everything I've done, I'm so badass PAY ATTENTION TO ME!" Actually none of it's true and you're just crazy. The end.

Bet Marco has gold-leaf-trimmed embossed business cards!

observer 01-23-2011 03:07 PM

0-60 mph in my opinion

0-60 under 3 seconds is really fast, under 4 is expected for a high-end sports car. Over 4 seconds but below 5 is fast, but most car enthusiasts are not going to jump up and down over these models.

However, the 2011 Mustang GT looks pretty sweet for the price/performance.

1) Those are sporty cars, not sports cars, like the 911.
2) They may be marginally faster in the straights but the game changes once you add corners.
3) All the cars you mentioned exceed $70K, which doesn't make them accessible to the majority of consumers; hence by definition they are rare, not common.

Agreed on the Mustang GT. Lots of bang for the buck.
