How come gas prices are still sitting at summer high levels and you never hear anything about it anymore?

Greenstoner 01-20-2011 07:50 AM

Mugen EvOlutioN 01-20-2011 07:56 AM

g_spyder91 01-20-2011 08:00 AM

I'm sticking with the manufacturers recommendation of 91 Octane for the sake of my wallet.

RacePace 01-20-2011 08:03 AM

1.50 was bad

Toronto is like paying 1 buck per liter

xpl0sive 01-20-2011 08:07 AM

gas prices are high in the states as well. i went down a few days ago and it was like 3.49 in Blaine... That's almost $1/liter compared to like 80c/liter a few months ago....

tool001 01-20-2011 08:11 AM

the reason why nobody complains about it, because the alternative; ie translink is unreliable and expensive

gdoh 01-20-2011 08:14 AM

we are just to use to getting shafted

TouringTeg 01-20-2011 08:18 AM

people get used to the price over time

Bc residents get used to prices instantly, the rest of the world cause a rukus. That's why our prices are always insane.

TheNewGirl 01-20-2011 08:22 AM

Wait till this summer, we're expected to break 1.50 a liter :(

kyoshiro 01-20-2011 08:27 AM

USD being all time low, Oil being traded in USD, Canada exports oil, etc
so in teh end even with high exchange rates, we're still jipped cuz we're Canada!
USD needs to gets on its legs and not give me god damn on par cuz I have savings in USD

It's not all of Canada, it's usually the people of BC that get ripped off.

They teased us at 1.50 before now they're really gonna give it to us if not more.

that $100+ government climate-change cheque you got in the mail recently? the rest of the world didn't get that either

prices in BC are generally higher because we have stiff carbon taxes included in the price of fuel
