Insult a poor/3rd world country, expect a response back.
It's like calling a an ugly person "homely". Odds are, they will get insulted. Call a good looking person "ugly", they will just brush off the comment.

so you are saying that Mexico is offended, becasue what they said about mexicans is true?
I believe Chris Rock said something about this once. A shitty country can make fun of a good country all they want...but once a good one makes fun of a shitty country like Mexico...well, that's just mean.

He does go overboard but the entire show has been airing some questionable stuff lately that has pissed off viewers.
For example, the TG Christmas special was blasted when they showed baby Stig in place of baby Jesus. Seems like TG wants to push the envelope a bit and not be so politically correct but my question is where do you draw the line? It's a motoring show that airs all around the world so is there really a need to make fun of other cultures and countries? I guess this is debatable.
Hate to say it but the Mexican Ambassador is just going to look like a poor sport for this. The show makes fun of every country so I don't see why Mexico is any different.
yeah, i bet you cause they hit a sore spot, and the ambassador probably knows its true and got pissed?

true? i dont know about you but when i look at the US right now its Mexicans that are doing all the tough labour work, heck even our local farms hire Mexicans to do it... true? wth ???
One of the partners at the office also watches top gear. Interesting thing he mentioned is that Top Gear was talking about going off air and not continuing a year or so ago. I don't know if this was a rumor or not but I'm sure many of you remember that. The truth is, the show can't go on forever and they will likely have to pick a time at which to end the program just like all great shows.
Rather than end the show, perhaps the show will be ended for them. It's a long shot I know but I thought it was an interesting take on how to exit the series. You have to admit, they're pushing harder and harder in a time where more of us have to walk on eggshells.

the description is more befitting of americans
That's because they are severely undercutting the competition. They get hired for lower wages and for cash jobs. Just another form of outsourcing driven by greed. That and the fact that Mexico is a shithole country and people don't know how to get out of there fast enough.
