24 players in total ^^

seriously expect a butchered version of it on the consoles

PornMaster 03-17-2011 11:34 AM

Seems like the console version is going to be completely different than the PC.
Glad that they are finally making a pure PC fps.

Finally, I am getting sick of console ports on my PC. Ill be glad once I don't see A or X button prompts on my computer monitor in any PC game.

back in BF2 they had BF2: Modern Combat for consoles...a butchered version that didnt even have jets/heli to my understanding

i dunno if they are going to neuter it this much for the console version this time..hard to tell

i just hope they have a decent campaign, not that it matters that much nowadays but man the new game that came out (forgot what name it was) it's rated 7.5/10 and it only had 5 hours (or in reality 4 hours of campaign)... that's harsh epic gay IMHO.

sure hope this multi player is the bomb

yogenfruz 03-18-2011 10:09 AM

I guess I'll have to pick this up on the PS3 if the console versions are going to be butchered. Might as well get the best of the worst...

Hopefully the campaign is 10+ hours and worth replaying. As long as Online has Rush/Squad Rush like BF:BC2, I'm happy.

Yeah, Homefront failed hard.

People got excited about it because the last game like it was 'Freedom Fighters' and that came out in 2003..2004? I played it and that was an AMAZING game..

with the teasers coming out, I think they are focusing on a strong single player campaign

moomooCow 03-18-2011 02:25 PM

^ To be honest, yes a strong single player campaign would be nice, but I'd rather they focused their time deving the multiplayer / optimizing game play.

6793026 03-19-2011 09:33 AM

I think the multiplayer will always be epic. it's just multiple stages, as long as the game dynamics is done, all you have to do is just throw players in and that's it. It's very linear and throw on 10 maps and you're done.

However, to have a good story line, to have all the stages tie in together and to make freaking sense.. is another story....

i'm hoping they'll enable dragging downed teammates in multiplayer...that'll involve surpressing fire which makes it just that much more enjoyable.

I'm aware of this. That's why I might as well get the ps3 instead of xbox one; it'll be the better looking of the console ones.

ForbiddenX 03-21-2011 09:58 AM

^lol I doubt it.

Usually if it's a multiconsole release it'll be almost exactly the same. The PS3 only shines when it's exclusives.

I think you'll be doing yourself a favor by getting it for the PC. It's going to be a completely different experience from the console version of the game. 32 vs 32 instead of 12 vs 12? That's a pretty big difference and just having that many more players just adds to the environment and the feeling of being in an actual war.

twitchyzero 03-21-2011 10:02 AM

if you played BF2 this is a given..but console will have smaller maps

id go with the 360 version if your looking to play online..

XBL works flawlessly from day 1 and just better online community overall..

i dont know why you would say the ps3 would look better than the 360 considering no screenshots or videos of it exist yet..... most of the time ports look completely identical from each other unless one is running on a modified game engine

PornMaster 03-21-2011 01:33 PM

Everyone just get the PC version, better graphics, bigger maps, better mp

twitchyzero 03-21-2011 04:08 PM

not everyone wants to fork out the cash to upgrade/buy a computer.

moomooCow 03-21-2011 04:53 PM

^True but it just doesn't do the game justice playing it on console.

yogenfruz 03-21-2011 05:32 PM

Yeah, not into having to buy a new computer. And I have issues at FPS on a computer.

The7even 03-25-2011 02:15 PM

Honestly, if there ever was a time to spend 1k+ on a computer just to play this game, this is the time. This is revolutionary in graphics and physics of the FPS genre. It honestly set the bar so high that everyone will have to look to beat it to even compete. Some of you might not appreciate just how amazing this game looks...and if it plays well, yeah, I'd spend a $1.000.

PornMaster 03-25-2011 02:22 PM

A simple computer upgrade will only cost you like $600
