Anyone got any dogfighting tips in copters? I've basically got flying down, I just suck if I'm taking fire from anywhere, can't dodge worth shit.


Just a reminder to all, small servers with n00bs are awesome for practicing flying and racking up copter scores; hover over objectives to conquer them and get the points plus practice control by hovering low to the ground and staying in place.

When you first get in a copter and you know they are dominating air.

Fly as fucken high as you can. Its easier to kill above because they have no where to run to.

If you are dominating air, fly low and let your co pilot pick off foot soldiers.
When flying away from ground gradually get higher to see enemy planes and always try to stay above them.

was surprised at how nice the graphics were on PS3 considering it runs natively below 720p!

Flying jet is 10000000000000000000000x easier in bf3 than bf2 for some reason

Feels so good when you blow up a vehicle full of guys.

Was able to take down a viper by planting 2 c4 while it was hovering down. :fuckyea:

So is there a way to report issues/non-received points to Dice/EA? I was in the middle of a game, got a medal worth 10k and some other rewards....and they don't show up in my score 'cause I got disconnected before the end of a round. Normally I wouldn't care really, but I'd be getting another promotion if I had gotten those damned points.

i cant turn... wtf... i always fly it out of bound... it turns slowly for some reson..

Would be a lot simplier if you joined the RS PS3 platoon and add people on it.

The points should have already been added. Points are added to your account as they happen. The end screen is just a recap.

To be sure, check your battlelog. Should have a running tab on all achievements.

Flew the F35 for the first time on Wake Island last night. It handles very differently from the other jets in the game, didn't really like it. It's fast but it's turning radius is terrible, if you're going over 300knots you're missile-bait. To strike ground targets I typically use the afterburner to go vertical and cuban eight down into my target, or loop over and roll onto it. At the top of the loop I press and hold reduced throttle so I have more time to line up my run but with the F35 if you drop below about 250knots it starts to go into hover mode and the handling goes all fucked and often stalls on you if you're in a dive. Kinda sucks to fly to be honest, because hovering somewhere and trying to take out a target makes you very vulnerable to ground fire.

why mumble? ventrilo has a latency issue with the codecs and mumble doesnt.

not to mention : IT SUPPORTS POSTIONAL AUDIO FOR BATTLEFIELD 3

when your buddy is on your right of your screen, you hear him from the right speaker , if hes on the left, you hear the mumble on the left. real time audio positioning and its free!
