where is a good spot to watch it?

TRDood 07-21-2010 08:48 AM

lol.. a tribute to China?

Greenstoner 07-21-2010 09:00 AM

i guess they dont have the finale this year

mqr03 07-21-2010 09:01 AM

I'll probably go to the finale. Been going every year since it started and basically its the same thing each year. Great for taking a girl but it can get repetitive. China won last year I think.

canucksfan 07-21-2010 09:03 AM

Weird, not as much hype this year. Seems like it's getting old. At least for me

The only thing that gets old for me is waiting around to get out of DT and fighting the crowds.

I always enjoy a good fireworks show

124Y 07-21-2010 11:47 AM

I'll be chilling with friends at the beach today. :D

q0192837465 07-21-2010 12:08 PM

wow, still remember last year i had to take a big dump just before the show started and I was stuck in the beach. To make it worse I was on my first date with a girl. Man, that was the WORST hour of my life.

Ludepower 07-21-2010 01:14 PM

Bring a bottle to take a piss...huge washroom lineups...half the people in there are puking their guts out...amateurs.

Not really racist! 07-21-2010 01:23 PM

FatalCloud 07-21-2010 03:38 PM

orange7 07-21-2010 03:42 PM

Yea there's gonna be huge closures for residence only.

If you've seen fireworks once, you've seen it all. I could care less about this event but it's always the gf that makes me go.

JesseBlue 07-21-2010 08:41 PM

every year seems to be a 'meh'...

just remember to use the trash bins folks...you don't want to be publicized in the news as litterbugs...

EDawg 07-21-2010 08:43 PM

one time i managed to trick a cop into thinking i lived in the english bay area and found a sweet parking spot. getting out of DT after fireworks was freaking brutal though.

definitely skytrain for me this year

Greenstoner 07-21-2010 10:41 PM

Just got back and the fire work seems last longer than before.
Its about 25 mins

Just got back, this was the first year that we rented a boat.
imo, renting a boat is the way to watch fireworks.

no need to deal with douchebags on a overcrowded beach and the whole crowd on the water is so much more fun
