Can't remember what colour I got to for swim, but for some reason think the next level that I didn't take would have made me eligible to become a lifeguard. I did get gold in fitness, remember that for sure.

Uh-Oh!

SkinnyPupp 08-12-2013 08:22 PM

I loved Fun House with J.D. Roth.. For some reason if felt like such a treat to be able to watch it.. I don't know why, maybe the time was weird or the schedule inconsistent?

TV was so much better in the 80's before they brought in the rule that a certain percentage had to be Canadian content. Commercials especially, we missed out on cool commercials for toys and cereal.

There was a lot of good Canadian content as well, don't get me wrong! But a lot of it was crap

when the zone on ytv looked like this

Loved watching these 2 shows during the summers when school was done for the year.
I think they were on YTV around 12pm. So I would watch it while I ate lunch.

TBH, I think these 2 shows had really developed my creativity through out my life.

I know exactly what you mean! My brother and I were obsessed with it, but it never seemed to be on...it must have had an inconsistent schedule. We would make a "race track" in the backyard to try and imitate it, lol.

I remember when YTV and Teletoon were worth watching. Plus, trips south of the border were 10x awesome when you got to your hotel room and guess what's on Cartoon Network? DEXTER'S LAB
