I still remember using the internet for the first time.. would have been 1994 or so, at school, and text based only. I'm not sure, but the first website may have been GOPHER and not HTTP...

First site I ever visited was nintendo.com. They even had a chat room which was pretty awesome :fullofwin:

56k damn, i remember using my 14.4k taking 2 hours to download a song and using Compuserve

i remember the black box that all chinese parents had. 11pm PPV. good times.

The first "freeware" I downloaded was Microsoft Monster Truck. The damn file was 10MB and it took ages through my POS 33.6K USR modem via Sympatico (which was utter POS, 100MB/Month for like $40/mth)
