I dunno I was in a pretty chipper mood today. Drove the STi out to Langley to see an out of town friend. Drove past a bunch of nice cars (our kinds of cars) and did the little wave, nothing. Saw a bunch of nice subies (probably heading to the VSC meet) and nothing…

Later in the evening I drove the RS to pick up dinner in Richmond. Again, saw a bunch of nice cars, gave little waves or thumbs ups… nothing! Then one nice white ~mk7-8 gti waved back. Finally someone!

So do we all not do this anymore? We all busy mean-muggin on the streets

I did glance directly at a WRB bugeye WRX today on 91. The driver and I locked eyes, instinctively, and simultaneously did a head nod. It was weird.

Super nitpick but able-bodied people on escalators walking on the left side, who stop or pause at the top because they can't time their step off the escalator without breaking their stride.

If your older or have balance problems, I understand but maybe they should be on the right side of the escalator where you don't need to walk.

I went offroading last night and drove past 5 fires on the way up. On the way back down, 3 still had embers and 1 was straight up flames with a log burning in the middle and a bunch of other wood sitting around it. We carry shovels and a lot of water but we went through all the water at the first one, my extinguisher at the second (with the flames), and spent ages with shovels at the third and forth because we were out of supplies. I know the risk is lower now but it's still ridiculous.

Also fuck people who burn pallets or toss glass into the fire. There's 50+ nails in every one of those stupid things. They need to start requiring a coating that stinks when it burns or putting them together without nails or something.

Travel insurance

I usually buy extra travel insurance when I go away, this year I decided to look into our included company travel insurance.
The benefit package is worded questionably, so I decided to call in, to verify what is actually covered

So far, over the last 4hrs of being on hold, and being transfered through 3, of the companies subdivisions, including 8 staff transfers, once again I am on hold for 35 minutes currently.

The amount of people who throw entire boxes into bins blows my mind, the bin is 24x24x60, and they will chuck an unfolded 20x12x30 box into the bin

These are the same people that complain about "high rent" but continue to waste money indirectly by causing everyones strata fees to go up

Garbage room 2.0:

We have recycling bins, if you pull the bin 2" off the wall, you can leave the top permanently "open". But instead people will have it backed against the wall, open it, recycle their items, then lid closes due to the angle.
I show up, unit is 75% full, meaning 20-30 people have opened the lid 20-30 times instead of spending 5 seconds to pull the bin out 2" for the next person to have it permanently open.

People who block the escalator actually help move traffic, because nobody wants to be the first one to do so, causing large queues as everyone lines up single file. This wastes half the escalator's capacity.

If you need to walk, there are usually stairs nearby. You can go up those as fast as you want without impediment

When there is an accident on the opposite side of the highway, and people on the non-accident side hit their brakes to slow down just so they can look.
Therefore causing a pile up for absolute no reason.

Cops should start handing out distracted driving tickets for this shit, no reason to be rubbernecking

Oh Facebook Market place gotta love the switcharoo too, agreed to price, show up and they try the will you take x for it. I clearly state it in my ads now to not attempt this and if you do I'm walking. But generally speaking unless an item is an easy sell and actually worth my time I don't even bother. I rather donate or throw away than spend the time dealing with idiots to sell an item for $20.

One trip on the highway and I already hate Albertan drivers again. In a 45 minute drive I had 1 cut me off, 1 drive 15 under the limit, and 1 who couldn't stay in their lane. I can't wait til fall when they all fuck off.

GTA people are aggressive. Almost LA-level aggressive, but with with half the skill level. Scary combo lol.
