Why do people not fcking own up to their mistakes, apologize, and fix the problem?

Is it a "generational" thing, or a thing of this age?
Just fucking own up to it and say sorry. Is it that hard? Embarrassing? Save face? Pride?
Seems to range from indivudual "unknown persons" to well known people.

Also partially why i hate politics. It's all a blame game from party to party, and no one is actually fixing anything

What happened to people's integrity? Sense of righteousness?

I have a "Nothing on Board" decal on my SUV. Got it from BCAA. To prevent would be thieves from breaking into the vehicle? I got it because I don't have baby, princess, or prince on board. Never had such a sign - ever. Those signs are right up there with red nose and antlers at Xmas time............ actually, if you had young children, they might think it's cute/cool. Grown ups should think twice before displaying them on a vehicle, but hey, it's a free country.

They take used oil and bottles, batteries, propane tanks, paint, cardboard, styrofoam, glass metal plastic, you name it. As long as it doesn't contain hazardous materials, it's all good. The place is located just down the street, or is it up the street, from Willingdon Costco. Between Costco and Lordco NFL.

There's one in Richmond on River road too. I just feel if you're gonna collect the enviro fee, then at least accept the used oil that it's for. Ex. batteries at Costco have a $10 core fee, but they'll take your old battery back

I found someone (through a friend) to take my MTech II bumper for $500 + trade, terms of sale is either he does the work on both cars or he pays $150 to get a shop to do it. Guy gets butthurt that I'm basically lazy (true) and don't want to do the work to sell the part.

I think if I'm selling a part for that cheap, it pretty much doesn't even need to be said that I don't want to do the work. It's a $2K bumper + paint LOL.

So I get a call from UPS yesterday that said my package is here and I need to pay $350 or so for duty and their brokerage and I'm not gonna do that so I told the lady on the phone that I'll just clear through customs myself she says no problem will email you all the paperwork that you need and then you can go to customs and when you do all that kind of thing. Just come back with the paperwork and we’ll give you the package. No problem. So I still haven’t gotten the email, so I call today and ask if everything’s good etc. She confirmed my email address and says they won’t send an email, just go get the paperwork in person. No problem, the ups building is close to the cbsa so it only adds maybe 15 minutes. So I get here to UPS and they have me wait outside in the lot because there’s two people being helped already. So I wait 20+ minutes and I see people coming in and out and I walk up there and get mad because I’m sitting in a hot car and you told me you’d come get me. So they let me in. I’m waiting and I’m waiting and I’m waiting and they are super confused. No ones called them. No one has paperwork. No one knows anything. So they investigate and my package is still in California. What the FUCK WHY DID YOU CALL ME?!?! So now I have to fucking waste over an hour of my time today. Then come back WHO KNOWS WHEN to fucking get it again

I'll never forget the day I was able to refuse the package and tell UPS to fuck off with their crazy made up fees. It was joyous.

I managed to go to CBSA yesterday and pay the tax. UPS then said my 45lbs fibreglass bumper was out for delivery at 2:30pm yesterday, I waited around all day for it and it never showed up. Tracking still says the same thing. Had I known this I would have asked for it to be held at the depot and I'll pick it up. I just know they are going to damage it.
