it better be light or the genesis will destroy this thing
The article said 350 lbs more than an AE86, so should be around 2700 lbs. From pure power/weight comparison:
AE86: ~20.5lb/hp
FRS: ~13.5lb/hp
Gen coupe: 12lb/hp

Are we talking about 2012 or 2013 Gen Coupe? And turbo 4 or 3.8 V6?

Based the numbers on the 2013 274hp 2.0T. The V6 isn't in the same league price wise

not sure if its been mentioned or if anyones seen it

but the latest top gear magazine has the brz/86 on the cover and an article

they seem to love it but what's interesting is they were talking about how toyota and subaru are both taking credit over features of the car saying it was their idea/tech instead of the other party

that's good to hear since they must be very proud of the car

edit: was trying to find the article online but their blog articles are different

definitely not. all Toyotas from the 80's and before were not built with good rust proofing.

Both these cars stock: BRZ/FRS vs. 2013 Genesis

Who will win using assumptions

I think the BRZ/FRS will handle better, but the Genesis will have more balls.

I'm looking forward to seeing them compared against each other on the track and strip by mags.

No they didn't, take a look at the Germans and the Swedes, besides VW.

Or, surprisingly, Nissan.

Someone here had a theory: Good condition AE86s wouldn't be worth as much as they do today if they didn't all rust out.

They did a terrible job at sealing the seams, everything else is fine.

I'm seeing;

Fog lights as a standard feature
Trunk spoiler
Heated side mirrors
Heated front seats
Leather (instead of cloth)
A silver accent somewhere (guessing inside)
Auto climate control

Hey Guys,

Great thread about these cars. There will be an FRS on site at the autocross 2012 BC Champs which all participants will be allowed to drive!!

Quote:
After the completion of competition on Sunday all drivers will be given a chance to drive the new 2013 Scion FR-S, with the top times winning prizes. All competitors will get one shot at driving the course in an FR-S prepared to the same level, with the top raw times (with penalties) winning prizes from Scion.
