Two FRSs coming in for delivery. Looked real nice :fullofwin: There's a white pearl one as well in front of it.

Edit:corrected, didn't get a good look while I was driving

Groot 07-04-2012 08:58 PM

That's an FR-S isn't it? FR-S badging is on the bottom beside the plate area and BRZ badging is on the top right corner

Epic GT86 vid, gorgeously shot.

Anyone know of a lower mainland dealership with a manual FRS to test drive? I really am considering the auto for my commute, but want to know what I'd be missing and the 6MT might change my mind.

I would try Richmond Open-road. From what they were saying at the event the other week, they have a couple for test drives. Let me know if and where you find one to drive, please!

Ikkaku 07-06-2012 11:06 AM

I walked around OR Toyota/Scion two days ago and I only saw their customized FRS on the lot. Not sure if they would have any demo FRS (especially in manual) available since there is a waitlist/shortage for them.

Not unless they let you take someone else's for a spin :lol

Maybe PM Roach or the other guy (coordinator of the test drive event)?

seekerbeta 07-06-2012 11:58 AM

would anyone recommend the BRZ over the FRS? i know they are the same basic car, but is brand loyalty worth anything? im kinda partial to the Subaru name over Scion, which would you guys go with?

sonick 07-06-2012 11:59 AM

Subaru for resale value, and the little extras like nav, etc.

muteki 07-06-2012 12:51 PM

2k is a very small price for the amount of extras/upgrades you get. But if you want it now, then the FR-S is much easier to get, whereas you're looking at late fall to next year for a BRZ.

Silver AT FR-S available at Regency Scion, if people want one right now. :)

godwin 07-09-2012 03:27 PM

Basically the Subaru has more features like HID etc... hence it is more expensive. I will pick the Subbie over the FRS just for that.

Anyone know if BRZ are in stock or is there a waitlist? I've seen only a few FRS, haven't seen a BRZ yet. Looking to getting one.

As I heard, BRZ waitlist is over 1 year at the moment :okay:

Think this was asked in one of the FRS threads already. All accounted for the year, possibly Kelowna, but most people in Vancouver already tried that. You're looking at late this year or early next year, maybe even longer if local.

godwin 07-10-2012 03:43 PM

BRZ is offering incentives in the States.. Peanuts but nevertheless interesting.

Subaru BRZ gets early sales incentives as cheaper Scion FRS outsells it

KO7 07-13-2012 10:10 PM

Is Richmond Subaru selling BRZs above MSRP? 2013 BRAND NEW Subaru BRZ Sport-Tech, 6 Speed Manual Transmission

Way to sell to the highest bidder instead of the next one in line on their waiting list...

Edit:
Nevermind, I see they added a bunch of dealer installed options to it.

geeknerd 07-29-2012 06:42 PM

so whats the current waitlist for a FRS, if there is any?

If you ordered a few weeks ago, the expect delivery would have been September.

But as of now, there's a national shortage, even dealership/National can't answer when it would be delivered. Probably 2013+

smaggs 07-29-2012 09:06 PM

Langley Scion has no waitlist so just a matter of waiting on delivery. They also have an one with the 5axis kit there on display. Can't remember details of it or if it was sold and phone was dead so no pics....i fail'd good. The kit looked good though!
