so, can anyone tell me the benefit of having both direct injection and port injection on the car? doesn't make so much sense to have so many fuel injectors, unless you're making mega power. |
Did any of you guys finance your FRS? I am very interested in getting one, but the high finance rates are making me think of genesis instead. |
I like the s2k as well but it isn't very DD friendly plus I think the FRS can be driven to the limit is much easily to control and handle. S2K is however the faster car and I like the stick in it a tad more. Both are great cars tho. If you are a recent grad (within 4 years) or going to grad within 4 months you can get a better rate Had a terrible buying exp with OP richmond I will not be buying anything from them ever again nor given them any recommendations |
Explain your experience with OP Richmond. I just started post secondary :(. Just looked into the brz so for around 29k you get navi/leather/fogs/pushtostart. Leaning towards the premium brz now. |

I guess the trunk lid is simpler than the hatch and allows for a convertible to be more easily co-engineered vs. a hatch which offers more versatility. |

The short version of the story is I pre-order right after the 1st concept came out was told they will deliver based off a 1st come 1st serve but when it came down to it 3 other people got their cars before me including one that was the exact config as mine( I was no 2 he was no 6 on the list). They told me they couldn't do my PDI as it was too busy but PDI 2 other FRS in the meantime. Was told I can pick my car up on the 4th then every consecutive day after that since they never got it ready for me until when I actually got it which was the 8th (tho they tried to make me wait until today) They also lied to me saying that they didn't move any cars and I was still going to be no 2 yet I saw them post up the black FRS sale on their FB as well as the same config one was sold during that time. Also tried to screw me out of my grad rebate. In the end they didn't do anything to make it up to me at all and didn't give me any kind of explanation as to why these events played out as they did. The sport tech BRZ will cost you roughly 35K out the door I had a pre-order for one as well |

The grad discount is for people about to graduate (I think it was if you're 6 months away) and people who have graduated within the past 4 years. Which I've past :okay:. The discount is $1000 off and 0.2% rebate on interest. |
The car literally JUST came out. Finance rates are rarely appealing for brand spanking new release cars. Wait til Christmas/New Years when the buzz has worn off a bit, and when Toyota seems to do the 0.9 lease/finance for 4 yrs or something similar |
:okay: yea, I guess I'll wait it out. Not too happy with my civic anymore. Sad to say, but it's just boring. I'll just keep my eye on the rates. I need to stop trying to rush things. |
^ you should keep those comments to yourself especially if you're selling the vehicle on the site lol It could to used as a tactic by lowballers |
Where's the panda? |

The grad discount is pretty standard and permanent for the last couple of decades.. |
oh nice will be useful when all the fusse about this car dies down |

Wish I waited for the BRZ before getting my Civic Si :okay: Gf didn't approve of an MX-5 cause of the two seats, but she probably would've been okay with the BRZ even though the back seats are useless and there's only 2 doors. I've been debating whether or not to go for a test drive in an FRS / BRZ, but I shouldn't torture myself should I? |
^ Letting your GF dictate how many seats your car has = fail |

Anyone buying soon, just found out if you sign up for the Club Openroad card, they have a promotion that gives you 20,000 free points for signing up (free). You can use the points toward your car purchases and ends up being $200. The promotion is ending in three days apparently. www.clubopenroad.ca |

If money is a issue and lack of space isn't get a s2k its a great car for the price and a lot of car for the money However I still think the S2K (AP1 at least) requires more skill to drive as you really have to be smooth with your inputs as well as the agressiveness of the vtec kick can suprise people were the FRS is pretty linear in power delivery. The S2K is a great car tho with the best 6MT I have used. Either way its all just my opinion anyways. |
