CNN is now saying that it was a cia operation and not a drone

I dunno how... but there's already a huge crowd of people in front of the White House singing the national anthem etc of the usa..... wtf?

AlphaKappa 05-01-2011 07:19 PM

could be a hoax, there were a lot of times when they thought they captured sadam hussain but it turned out to be people that just looked exactly like him.. Besides, does the us army go hide and seek in the mountaneous desert? Don't think so.. but who knows

jaguar604 05-01-2011 07:19 PM

CNN mentioned something about a human operation?

MindBomber 05-01-2011 07:22 PM

That was when GWB was in power though, the same man who declared victory 3 weeks into a war that lasted almost a decade. Why is it a surprise that GWB's government would announce they captured Sadam when it was actually just a random person they saw on the street. I'm sure they did DNA tests on the body before this announcement.

There were tons of news showing how weak Osama was. When I heard this new, I thought he died of natural causes or sickness, but turns out he was "killed". Thats whats making me wonder WHO killed him. Was it his own men or was it US who finished the job. If US finished the job, Congratulations to them.

So many soldiers have been waiting for this moment. Without a question, troops have been wondering what they are doing over in Iraq years after years. Now, with the death of Bin Laden, their sacrifice is finally paying off.

This is a turning point for the global war on terrorism. In many ways, the global war of terrorism which has defined USA, the way we get on airports, the way we live our day to day life maybe changing right now. This is significant development.

We have seen from the last decade, extremist Islam has been gaining popularity but with the demise of Laden, we could be turning into a new face. The Arab Revolution are starting and if the 1990s were defined by radicalism, and the last decade on war on terrorism, the next decade could be a next era. The way we live our lives are definitely going to change with this news. The last decade has been defined by war against Bin Laden, war against terrorism, war against fear, the new decade can be defined by new factors.

The closure of Osama Bin Laden, who has become hated by people around the world will pave way to a new era of living.

johny 05-01-2011 07:27 PM

who cares about him, there are another million waiting to take his place. many of which are already here in N.A. terroists will be around forever and the war will never end.. it'll be a non stop loosing battle.

cliffhanger33 05-01-2011 07:29 PM

It's a big deal because Osama was the leader of Al Qaeda, he started all this crap. I'm pretty dam glad hes dead.

Hondaracer 05-01-2011 07:29 PM

his death means nothing outside of giving US grunts confidence in their efforts

he was a figure head of a regime that will easilly be replaced with somone crazier.

LOL Timing is everything. Obama sits on this major news till he can upstage Trump on his Celebrity Apprentice your fired moment.

This would be good news-exciting news if it is true. I want to see the smoking dead body, I want to see the medical examiner's report and every other piece of evidence proving it is genuinely him if it is true. I don't believe any of the regular news channels. Seems a little coincidental that campaigns are starting and now this announcement. Im going to completely buy this once Obama makes his announcement tonight.

I know what you mean.

Yet Obama has been giving away hundreds of billions more in aid to Pakistan than Bush ever did, and worse, he gave them 85 of our drones a week ago.

Let's stop pretending that Pakistan is our ally and stop arming a country that wants to wipe us off the face of the map.

Interesting that Obama releases this statement -a week after the fact - to distract us from his killing of children in Libya today....

So much crap going on in our world.

murd0c 05-01-2011 07:35 PM

Obama is speaking now

EmperorIS 05-01-2011 07:36 PM

LOL @ /b/ so awesome

Bouncing Bettys 05-01-2011 07:37 PM
