Theres 3000 people who woke up, went to work, and said "Wow, today is a nice sunny day" about ten years ago who would disagree.

Same goes for the people in Madrid back in 04, Mumbai in 08. Hell, probably a dozen other equally as awful things have gone down. Shit we don't even know about.

Every time you go to the airport and get molested by a TSA agent. Every time you get hauled out of the car at the border and your car tossed.

Who do you have to thank for that?

I'd say the rules are a little different when it comes to Bin Laden, especially seeing as he decided to hit first.

I was reading an article here: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/inside...ry?id=13506413

and it reports that US never told Pakistan what they were about to do. Pakistan scrambled jets to intercept the Blackhawks carrying the SEAL team, but didn't get there in time. Imagine they shot down the choppers!

Also because they are the largest military and economic power in the world. Simply they can do whatever the fuck they want and nobody can really say shit about it. It's shitty to some people but this is what it is.

While an honourable stance it almost never works out for those who preach it. Ask Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Ghandi, etc how it all worked out for them. It's also not even a real quote by MLK.

It's easy to post quotes like that when you're watching from the sidelines. I bet your stance would be different if your friends or family were killed on September 11th, in the USS Cole, in one of the embassies he bombed, or while fighting in the Middle East.

gdoh 05-03-2011 10:22 AM

which photos are these?? please share cause there are alot of fakes

I call bullshit. He would be imprisoned if he did, and if he's a SEAL he's not dumb enough to do that. Their contracts contain non-disclosure and secrecy agreements that they must abide by for decades or even until their deaths.

Yeah I highly doubt a SEAL operative would let a member of the public see photos.

Obama said they planned on releasing one photograph of the dead Bin Laden.

-The US trains and aids Osama to fight the Soviets.

-Osama thanks the U.S. and remains extremely grateful for our help.

-The Gulf War begins and we take over the Middle East, bombing Iraq throughout the 90's.

-Bin Laden reacts to our flawed foreign policy by using terror tactics.

-9/11 happens. The U.S. responds by invading 2 countries, and by bombing Pakistan along with Yemen.

-We continued to bomb these countries for about 10 years, not realizing our interference with Middle Eastern politics is one of the main reasons why we were attacked on September 11th.

-We bomb Libya and support the rebels. We even consider arming them. In other words, something similar we did with Osama.

-The U.S. murders Osama.

-The U.S. continues to drop bombs on Libya and will continue the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan until further notice.

-We learned nothing.

Actually, my father was murdered 21 years ago, and I feel that way. But thanks for making your assumption.

Selanne_200 05-03-2011 11:49 AM

I think it's all a matter of perspective. We may view bin laden and his actions as acts of terrorism, which prompted us to invade the middle east but if you were to think the opposite for a second, by us(mainly the US) invading their land and "freeing" them, they may view us the same. The US can go to extreme to fight "terrorism", so who are we to say that they don't have the right to do the same. It's only because we tend to side with the US and the western world so we share their beliefs

10 Osamas? I highly doubt that. The people who think the death of Osama will stop terrorism are idiots. Likewise, if you think his death will do nothing you're also an idiot. This is a significant event. It would have taken Osama years to develop his networks, contacts and to get a following willing to die for one if his operations. Even if he handpicked a successor, that doesn't mean that people who followed Osama are going to feel the same about his successor. Even amongst the Muslim extremists there's division on how things should be done. I think it will be some time before the next Osama appears.

TEN Osamas!?

That would be like 911 times ten!

Yes...9110!

...context

Spoiler!

dangonay 05-03-2011 04:46 PM

As to the burial of Osama at sea, I believe they would have done it according to proper Muslim customs.

What gave them the right? Osama openly declared war on the United States and Americans generally don't take kindly to that. Japan can vouch for this.
