Sounds like you should wait for SB-E/X79/LGA2011 to come out (should be soon). $2500 will get you a monster build.

Not very sure on GPU side, but my guess from the rumors is that Southern Islands and Kepler will both show up later in 2012.

Screw you all. Just got a new case and water cooler just so it would look a lot better and neater.

lol You knew what kind of trouble you were getting into by entering this thread. Was the 500R and H100 on sale?

Of course. I am a cheap Asian - I am literally using a $20 computer case off Craigslist right now. :heckno:

$79.99 for 500R in white, and $84.99 for H100. Both from Memory Express after price-matching NCIX. :D

Nice finds, esp that case. Just googled for a pic of the H100 inside the 500r, I like how you can conceal the radiator so well up in the top.

Yeah, that's why I got the case and the cooler combo. They work together nicely from what I heard.

Nitrous5.0 11-29-2011 10:37 PM

Recently put together rig..

1100T at 4.0 Ghz
16 Gb Venegence Ram
90 gb corsair ssd
2Tb seagate hd
990fxa ud3 motherboard gigabyte
Sli gtx 580 3gb Lightning Edititon Extreme
corsair h80 water cooler
ax750 watt psu

but i messed up and now im bottlenecked bf3 cards only run at 60 percent fps dip into low 40s fps lol..

should of gotten a 2500k or 2600k

anyone wanna buy a 1100T and gigabyte 990fx board lol

roastpuff 11-29-2011 11:31 PM

How are you bottlenecked by a hexacore 1100t? It should be fine for BF3 which is more GPU-demanding especially when you turn up AA/AF

twitchyzero 11-30-2011 12:28 AM

IIRC the super crazy comprehensive BF3 benchmark on tom's hardware said even i3 processor was good enough...i honestly doubt your processor/mobo is holding you back

Nitrous5.0 11-30-2011 12:48 AM

I'm only getting 50-60 percentage on both cards
I'm pretty sure 2x580 gtx 3gb cards are not the problem

roastpuff 12-05-2011 03:03 PM

You baller. With those cards.... yeah, CPU bottleneck? Or go get a bigger LCD! :p

Right now this is the dillemma facing me:

Still have a new fan control and front panel from RMA that I'm working on changing to white lighting.

roastpuff 12-23-2011 01:25 AM

Cable management is my mortal enemy and I've sacrificed some blood to this build, haha. I'm loving the case though and it was an utter joy to build in. Now to finish making the cables neat...

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Crossfire Edition. AMD red, hehe. My only beef is that it isn't modular. This is from the PRE-OCZ era of PCP&C.
