Sutter did the exact same thing in the 2004 playoffs :okay:

Gh0stRider 05-23-2012 09:43 PM

nice swan dive. must of learned that from kesler

spoon.ek9 05-23-2012 10:00 PM

hahaha wow.. that last angle really shows how obvious that dive was.

AzNightmare 05-23-2012 10:03 PM

imo, if they want to take away embellishment, they should only give a penalty to the diver.

I mean, which one is it? Roughing or embellishment?

The ref's are pretty much saying that embellishments a win/win situation.
You either draw a penalty or you make it 4-on-4.

That's what I never understood. If you give a guy a small hook to the legs but he doesn't react, no call is made because it wasn't a trip. But if the same play is made and he flops like a fish as if a car smashed into his legs, the other person gets a tripping call??? Makes ZERO sense.

Interesting... very similar, except the Flames were the 6th seed, so they beat #3, #1, #2 in that order. They also played #1 in the East, but lost, of course.

* Apologies for not being able to find an english version yet... nevertheless, another heartwarming gesture

I honestly don't see a trade happening with Loungo's huge contract. Even though the cap hit is low his years remaining is quite a bit. I personally don't mind having some goalie competition next year in our net.

if mike richards and jeff carter's contracts can be moved, any contract can be moved. having said that richards/carter are still coming up to or at the prime of their careers and lu is probably at the the beginning of a decline so that may be a difference. based on dollars alone i don't think it would be as hard as people think to move luongo.

correct me if i am wrong, but i remember the analysts were saying that the contract has an out-clause at the latter stages and/or roberto can just retire and the cap should not count against that team.
