nope
it will be his 4th
surpassing Patrick Roy. Again

Bonka 05-25-2012 07:50 PM

Roy has 4. 86 and 93 with Canadiens, 96 and 01 with Avs.

oh right, i forgot about his first one as a rookie

Razor Ramon HG 05-25-2012 07:56 PM

I just want Brodeur to win the cup so it'd be a perfect retirement, similar to Bourque in 2001.

SkinnyPupp 05-25-2012 08:03 PM

Man I thought the Rangers were going all the way, but I guess they ran out of gas. This is LA's chance to win it all!

I think it was more special for Bourque though
cause he never won a cup before.

It would have been like if Sundin had won
the cup... Too bad he didn't. Or Linden.

Would be nice if brodeur won another one,
but not as special since he's done it already
a few times.

I'm actually not sure why a bunch of you guys are so excited about him winning another one.
Maybe just don't want the kings to get it??

I think this one will be a testament that he's still got it.
Nothing beats Ray Bourque's moment though, BEST storybook ending to a storied career

AzNightmare 05-25-2012 11:25 PM

I guess so. Winning is winning.
You can never win enough.

First times always the best though

Ronin 05-25-2012 11:52 PM

Kings. They've rolled 3 teams that I'd say are better than the Devils. Mike Smith was having a ridiculous post season compared to Brodeur and he get owned by the Kings.

AzNightmare 05-26-2012 12:06 AM

So since Devils won... I finally got my first correct prediction including exact number of games for this playoffs.

Been predicting everything wrong this season.

I think Kings in 5...

Obsideon 05-26-2012 12:43 AM

Did you guys hear that the Dominator is contemplating a comeback?!... isn't he like 47?!... :rukidding:

murd0c 05-26-2012 12:54 AM

The Kings deserve it but I hope the devils take it so Brodeur can retire in style but I can honestly see him playing another season.

It was definitely more special for Bourque, but my point is that winning a Stanley Cup and then retiring what I would consider a perfect ending. Doesn't matter how many cups the player has won before as going out with a bang is always preferred, no?

I'm excited for him because this could be his last season (he's been waffling; leaning towards another season last time I checked), and at the same time we don't know when the next time the NJD will make it this far with him in net.

cliffhanger33 05-26-2012 01:17 AM

Kings in 5

I'll be cheering for Devils desipte my prediction

Mike Oxbig 05-26-2012 01:39 AM

devils in 6 IN JERSEY

TRDood 05-26-2012 09:48 AM

Does the Devils fet home ice since LA is 8th seed?

It would be hard to beat Quick.
