Flyers have officially sign Bryzgalov to a 9-year, $51 million deal, giving him a $5.667M cap hit until he is 40 years old.

team 1040 was reporting $51.5mil so $5.72 cap hit. still a manageable number i suppose.

E-40six 06-23-2011 04:24 PM

Luongo at 5.3 cap hit or Bryzgalov with 5.7 cap hit :troll:

Some more #Canucks stuff - not interested in futures for Schneider. Window to win is now. Have asked about Stastny.

WTF!? Coming off a season where your a Vezina Finalist, Winning the Jennings Trophy, and Taking the Team to the Stanley Cup Final and yet your on a short leash?

They don't call vancouver the goalie graveyard for no reason. We only remember the shitty games and none of the good ones that luongo won.

RiceIntegraRS 06-23-2011 05:41 PM

I wish people would realise that Luongo is the best thing thats happened to Vancouver and hes been the most consistent Goalie in the NHL since hes played for us.

Uh no..."they" call Vancouver the "goalie graveyard" from all the past inconsistent goalies we had in the years.

What do you mean "we"? The bandwagoners only remember the shitty games and none of the good ones Lu won. The real fans stick by Lu no matter what the result is.

GodZilla 06-23-2011 05:44 PM

January 7th 2012 @ Boston against the bruins.

DanHibiki 06-23-2011 05:45 PM

Man Ryan Smyth just can't stay away from the bar he owns in Edmonton can he?

hotshot1 06-23-2011 05:49 PM

I'd love to have Stastny but at 6.6m... no thanks.

I'm a big Luongo supporter. But from the look of things, that's just the way it's gonna be next year as much as I don't like it.

What I mean when i say "we" is 75% of the "fans" out there who don't understand the game.

Lu has been great for us, consistantly putting up 33+ wins every season.

He's definitely been a good regular season goalie, but he hasn't been consistent enough in the playoffs. But I do think he's one of the best goalies we've ever had.

Laundry 06-23-2011 05:54 PM

Apparently Versteeg is next out of Philly, what does anyone think about him on Kesler's wing?

His value shouldn't be that high, but I remember him being good against the nucks in the playoffs...

richards (brad) - kesler - raymond/higgins

jigga250 06-23-2011 06:52 PM

I'd much rather have Richards at 6.8 than Stastny at 6.6......him and Kesler would be a deadly 2nd line

Although theyre both centers, dunno if Richards can play wing

jeedee 06-23-2011 06:54 PM

Kesler can play the wing. He needs someone to feed him the puck, and B.Richards fits into that role PERFECTLY.

dignatas 06-23-2011 06:54 PM

damn that 2nd last picture... fucking great taste!!

and what the fuck at ed hardy and hockey players... they need a lesson on how to dress up to parties. @ Ovechkin and ripped jeans... no..

Ronin 06-23-2011 06:57 PM

Juice at $4.5 is a fair deal for everyone. I thought it would be slightly less like $4.25 but $4.5 is great.

LA is scary now. Kopitar + Richards is probably as good as Henrik + Kesler as 1-2 centers. All around good team...should be enough to challenge for the division lead at least, especially after Doughty is signed.

Versteeg is interesting but can't we get a guy that's consistent and not just "Oh, he has potential."?

Stastny is a good player but no way he's worth $6.6m to the Canucks. He's worth $6.6m to the Avs as he's one of their best players but here, he'd be second line.

Brad Richards means we say bye to Ehrhoff and possibly Bieksa and Salo. No way we'd fit him under the cap at what he's asking...especially to play 2nd line?!

What we need is someone in the $4m range...a playmaking winger like Martin St. Louis (obviously NOT MSL...just an example) to play with Kesler. Kesler strikes me as more of a finisher than setup man at this point so playmaking winger would fit like MSL does with Stamkos. People forget that Stamkos is a center...
