I'm not by any means saying Ovie isn't an amazing player but I don't think I'd ever choose to build a team around him like I would with Crosby or the Sedins. Just too much drama dealing with Russians, especially in a position of leadership.
did you see the malfunctioned game clock?
It stopped for a good second.. The goal wouldn't have counted if there wasn't a brief lag
Ah I didn't notice it. I was just looking for when the puck went in.
It's debatable though. It's not like the league "knew" Doughty would score a few 10ths of a second after the buzzer they then decided to stop the clock for an instant to let them win.
Think the clock might have just glitched and malfunction.
Doesn't necessarily need to be some clock guy messing with the outcome.
Didn't they review that goal???
I would think a goal like that would automatically be reviewed on since it was so close.
It's not like it was OT and LA was skating away to the dressing room.
With even 0.3 seconds left, they would have to officially end it with a center ice face-off,
and goal review should have been done before the puck drop.

“I really like their top four D. Most people see Hamhuis and Bieksa as their No. 1 pair, but Edler and Salo, for me, are outstanding players.
“They've got their guys everyone talks about, but Hodgson was a top-10 draft pick, Canadian Hockey player of the year, he's a real hockey player to me.
“Lapierre and Malhotra gives them a real solid fourth line.

best quote out of that. arguably the best team in the league over the last 10 years has lost a game 7 twice, and every year they come back as a contender.

my co workers friend went to game 7 last year
and he could see it in the faces of canucks that they knew they werent going to win
