IMO being on TMZ is what lends credit to this picture. If it was someone's yfrog or whatever, forget it. TMZ is usually pretty good about posting accurate photos, IIRC

I wonder what Steve Jobs would look like if he had been eating properly for the last 3 decades?

Bill Clinton too... He started eating low fat Ornish diet for several years before having to get heart surgery twice, and now that he's a vegan, he looks like he has aged about 100 years in the last 2 years...

dangonay 08-27-2011 12:38 PM

Apple said Steve spent his last day (Wednesday) doing a regular full day of work. Seems funny he could spend an entire day at work and look like this two days later. Unless he had a particularly bad chemotherapy session or some other aggressive treatment.

shit thats sad.

It's said that he never bothered with chemo, since his form of cancer was beatable without it. Instead, he used surgery and a bad diet. IMO he should have tried something else, but unfortunately, he was convinced by "gurus" that raw, vegan, unnutritious food was the way to go. Despite the science saying otherwise.

Btw here's an article explaining it a bit

it just shows you just because you have billions of dollars doesn't mean you are actually smart.

SkinnyPupp 08-27-2011 05:49 PM

Look at all this rich, famous people in PETA for instance... And the scientologists for that matter. Sometimes I wonder if too much money actually makes you teh dumberrr

murd0c 08-27-2011 05:54 PM

exactly. It like all common sense goes out the window and they do what other people tell them should be right. It's kinda sad a lot of the rich and powerful don't have a mind of their own these days.

As a cancer survivor that has gone through chemo therapy I don't exactly blame him. Going through chemo (tablet or injection form) is the absolute worst thing a person can live through, and personally I wouldn't wish the experience on my most terrible enemy. To put short it's like living in a limbo where you lose all your hair, feel extreme pain and naseua and there's nothing you can do or take to eliminate that feeling. You're energy is depleted even for monthns and years after treatment. Thirsty ? Well you're so tired that getting up to go to the sink and pouring yourself a glass is nearly impossible. Somehow got the water and drinking it ? Well try keeping it down without throwing up.
Hell if I had any other option than chemo (like a transplant), I would have taken it in a second.

SkinnyPupp 08-27-2011 08:19 PM

I think it was probably a good idea to avoid chemo. Starving himself was the bad idea

Wongtouski 08-28-2011 05:40 PM

I'm petrified by that photo...dude looks like a zombie there man shit.

Psykopathik 08-29-2011 12:47 PM

fuck why doesn't he buy himself a new body......

that said i hope he gets better anyways.

Hakkaboy 08-29-2011 01:10 PM

my cousin works as developer (for drivers) for apple in San Jose, and when Steve Jobs went on the most recent leave of absence, i asked him, "does he really do a lot of day to day tasks?"

his response was, " yep, pretty much all decisions have to go through him"

monkeywrench 08-29-2011 05:29 PM

Definitely hope he pulls through. Jobs made Apple this far, would like to see him bring it even farther.

regardless of some photoshopping, his hair is a frazzled mess and there is someone holding him up.

not being able to keep ones balance is a symptom from treatment (vertigo) etc etc
Jobs was already quite thin before treatment so it may not be as bad as we're all imagining

t8v6 08-30-2011 04:30 PM

hmm makes you wonder if Jobs could be this successful if his real dad was a part of his life

Ulic Qel-Droma 08-31-2011 12:47 AM

i seriously wonder if he'd be where he was today if he never did lsd at all.
