That last page is the equivalent of an internet nerd proclaiming he wouldn't fuck a 10/10 because her elbows are pointy.

I looked at an '04 Gallardo 6pd during the VID years for shits and giggles and it felt remarkably cheap. They're cars that are stuck between being classically analog like the F355 and modern enough to have amenities you've come to expect. It felt like Audi's first car they made under the Lambo name and they weren't really sure what the market expected from it. Don't get me wrong it was nice but not the "wow this is classy/exotic/classic" one is probably going for, it just felt like an old car. I too went down the rabbit hole of manual conversions for older machines.

Then I realized I'd forgotten about some cool cars that have been generally forgotten about: older Aston's. I'm pursuing different things but the dream would be an early DBS with the 6L V12 6spd at just 3400lbs. With a tune, intake, cat delete and X-pipe muffler they push 600hp and sound like a Zonda. Some modern wheels/tires and some stance work and that's a car that will look and sound amazing forever with that timeless Bond style.

The problem with Aston is also their interior and switchgear all kind of suck. Lots of complaints of Ford parts bin items making their way into the Aston.

Not that I've actually sat in one. The exterior though, can't beat the exterior. Lambo can go sit in the corner.

There's one other issue with Lambos that no one really talks about. It's the actual livability of one. I've sat in a Murc a few times. To enable that low slung look you severely compromise your sight lines. For me to sit comfortably in a Murc means I will not see the traffic light if I'm the first car in line.

^fuck bro you got a beef about everything. Most of these exotics are compromised. They aren’t gonna do everything you want them to nor will they have the reliability of your bmw even.

I do, that's why I want myself a Beetle. Brilliant offroad, simple, inexpensive, easy to maintain, surprisingly comfortable...

Granted, I didn't shit on the Ferraris lol. I don't look highly of Ferrari as an organization, but a lot of their cars are amazing on paper.

Very true of the early 2000's Aston's. Ford sold it's ownership in 2007 so by the 09/10 model years most of that parts bin crap was eliminated. This is the '11 DBS interior:

What ?!? It’s none of those things.

Beetles are horribly uncomfortable. Extremely expensive expensive, a total bitch to work on…. And UGLY too !!!! Your bmw is better than these dumb ass beetles.

Ferrari is a good grail car. If you get a chance to drive one they aren’t THAT special either, But the badge goes a long way. You forgive a lot of the Italian bullshit because of the noise and the badge.

Lol what. Porsche is certainly not brilliant offroad, they are hilariously expensive, and you need like 17 socket extensions and wobbles to change a spark plug.
Don't get me wrong I'm firmly grasped on to Porsche nuts to swing from, but these are like bizzaro world statements

My 991 beetle, to change the engine air filter I had to remove the rear bumper, worst DIY ever.

Looks like their engineers took a longer lunch and used the air filter playbook from the Panamera. Equally awful DIY.

EvoFire's statements is based on the premise of 911 VS Exotics

I mean that a 997 911 (is over priced) but at one point, a Carrera or even a Carrera S coupe was under $50,000 for like 80,000KM in MANUAL!

And they have normal ride height instead of insane exotic car ride height

And for the most part, can somewhat DIY instead of it has to be FMOV or say good bye to your resale value...

etc etc etc

Of course it cant compare to a Corolla or NA Miata..... but interms of super cars, the 911 is by far the most accessible in overall costs....now... fight over if 911 is considered a super car...or just a very top teir Sports Car!

Fuck your 911, buy a Type R. Friend with a 996 GT3 CS is surprised how close the Type R's performance and whole package is in comparison, for the money relativity of course. No shit a GT3 is world class good, but the Type R isn't far off.

Good to know.. guess a depreciated Panamera isn't in the dream books.

Not everyone wants a red FK8 okay?! lololol

I get it I get it... Type R is phonomenal, and I am mad jelly, I will buy one if I could (not joking)

lolol but come on bro... you are comparing 2 cars 20 years apart......

Like the original Holy Trinity (Enzo/SLR/CGT) will have a hard time out running from the current gen M3...

Nurburgring times

Enzo 455HP per tonne = 7min25 (a Press car, we all know what that means)
SLR 415HP per tonne = 7min40
CGT 438HP per tonne = 7min28 (or 7min12 on Cup2R tires)
G80 M3 277HP per tonne = 7min28
G82 M4 CS 308HP per tonne = 7min17

I'm at Sinclair right now to renew my passport and it seems to be about 90mins, maybe more wait. This lady is getting so mad at the wait. She's sitting next to me and she is just muttering under her breath.

She said she has work today and she needs to get this application processed.

I don't think she will get to work on time.

Doesn't the passport office at Sinclair open at 6am or something super early? If she needed to get to work on time, she needed to be there and start lining up before the passport office opened.

There are 2 strategies. One is to go first thing in the morning before it opens (which most people do). Second is to go say early afternoon when that rush of morning liner uppers have died down.

Went to Richmond one time and the afternoon strategy was surprisingly quick. If you have all your ducks lined up and everything there, I was in and out around 20-30 mins if I recall.

The best time to get your passport renewed? During stat holidays that are Provincial but not applicable to Federal employees. We just had one of those. There was absolutely no wait.

I lucked out on the day when I renewed mine in October there was a big accident on HWY1 which jammed traffic coming into town that morning.
I waited all of like 10 minutes.
Even heard the employees there remarking how exceptionally quiet it was that morning lol.

The passport office at Sinclair Centre in Vancouver opens at 8:30am.

I have seen long lineups at that office well before 8:30.

Some of the staff in that office yell out instructions to people to go into various queues. That office is a gong show on Mondays and especially early in the summer starting in June.
