According to the National Post, as part of the new agreements being signed with China today/yesterday, Canadians will no longer require a visa to enter China. Carney said that it should come into effect soon, Just in time for your vacation hopefully.
Hurry up! I'm currently in the process of applying for my China visa for a trip in March... guess I'll wait for a bit.

Dude just bought another house and a private jet to go along with his fire truck. All 3 are for content. The house is for his tech house series where he is going to upgrade the house with a ton of tech and sell it. The fire truck was for last years April fools loke. The PJ is for I think lan gaming in the air but he has not said anything about it.

I have yet to try Luckin Coffee. Curious how it is!
I know they're in NYC but I ain't going there. Then again, China is not welcoming me anymore.
It's basically Starbucks but with different special flavours. In China if you use WeChat or whatever, there are basically unlimited coupons to get them for $1-3
In a sign of changing times, many of the American coffee chain locations here (Starbucks, Pacific Coffee) are being replaced by Chinese brands. But they sell it for Starbucks prices here, so there's not much point.
Looks like America is losing its corporate grip in Asia, the most powerful way they could influence culture around the world, after entertainment went to shit in the past decade.
This is a redundant question given that it's like Starbucks, but is their coffee any good?
Unrelated question: Any auditors here on the forum? I have a question for a non-profit organization. Thanks!
I only tried it twice, both flavored ice coffee, so I couldn't really say. I wouldn't ever consider going there for a decent drip coffee, but the coconut milk latte or whatever it was, was quite tasty. My wife loves it, especially for the price compared to HK
My cousins in HK like Manner and Pacific Coffee over Luckin. I guess I'll have to see for myself when I get there. They also have Tim Hortons in China so I'll have to try that and compare it with the shit Timmies we have here. When I had Tim Hortons in Thailand the quality seemed to be much better than ones here.

I've seen some Asian supermarkets (I think T&T?) sell the packaged single-brew Luckin Coffee packs but I haven't tried them myself. I'm willing t give it a shot.
There's also a Cottee Coffee (spelling???) here nearby where we live and one Downtown Toronto. They have a coconut milk coffee/latte drink and it's not bad for the price, assuming you have their app-based coupons.

I don't recall trying Pacific Coffee but recall seeing them everywhere in HK. Never heard of or had seen Manner, so I'll keep an eye out next time. Too many good coffee options in HK, so it's hard to try a local chain.
I'm curious if Tim Horton's coffee overseas tastes different. My assumption is that it should not, but rather, they may modify their flavours and taste preference to meet local palates.

Cotti Coffee has opened a new location in Richmond. I've seen some videos about Luckin opening locations in the US. Haven't seen any plans for them to open anything here in Canada (yet).
Seems like their business model includes spamming coupons via their apps to undercut the competition.

I should have clarified that my cousins live in HK but go to the mainland all the time. Pacific and Manner are chains in China.
i think 1st purchase is like $1 via app. i guess that's cost of acquisition or to get ppl to d/l the app. queue was too big for me to try but my friend said it's like starbucks quality coffee that is normally starbucks prices. so without the heavy discount not sure i'd be using them.
Blue Nile sold a lab grown diamond for $2k or something.
Alibaba sold essentially the same diamond for $200.
Independent appraisers and certified people looked at both diamonds and said they were near identical in quality. The certificates that came with both were legit.
