Certainly not as scary as the China bridge incident, but it'd totally be a brown pants moment for me if I were the driver too...

Damnit. Was pretty hilarious and scary at the same time. Pretty steep hill. Cliff in the left and mountainside on the right. Absolutely no room to turn around. After multiple Chinese refreshes, driver miraculously completes the 180. The rear of the car was hanging off the cliff most of the time. Have no idea why he didn’t back down. Quite the feat. It should have been posted in maybe maybe maybe instead of be amazed. Bad bot!

Shoutout to Evo for the wave. How do you keep the blue car so clean?

For the F1 movie, what do you think is going to be the better experience?
IMAX, Dbox or 4dx?
I just caught it tonight at Coquitlam IMAX - it's a 4k laser projector with a 1/4 size IMAX screen (but bigger than standard). Great brightness and sharpness.
Movie wise it an entertaining movie and totally worth seeing it in IMAX. If you're a F1 vet you'll hate the stupid plot and the excessive (and dumb) accidents) but you'll probably love how the movie blends into the real life F1 season and the tracks look beautiful (Silverstone has never looked so great). Also loved seeing a wind tunnel and simulator in action - I believe the tunnel is Williams' - and they used McLaren's facility for the HQ shots.
The in car shots (and VFX) are super impressive - the shot going into Eau Rouge is the best in car shot I've ever seen in its ability to convey speed, my balls clenched a bit as the cars got to the bottom of the hill and turned in.

It just came back form the detailer earlier in the week. I just came back from VIMC and it's covered in bugs and brake dust now. Though the ceramic coat really helps.
Oh man~ VIMC track days are awesome~! Totally worth all the dead bugs and brake dust accumulated on the car now lol~
I was trying to go last month, but I just couldn't make the tetris block swaps for childcare and extracurricular activities for the kiddo to work out, so I didn't end up going.

It's a Korean cafe/restaurant place in Burquitlam that I've recently went to. The demographic seems to be young, hot Koreans in their 20s. Besides the eye-candy, the best part was the ordering system. The QR-code that you scan for the menu is unique to your table. Order what you want and it magically shows up in a few minutes. Payment can be done through the app too.

Is there something like thie around Langley?
It's popping up more and more now - M Cafe (great baked pork chop on rice) does this too. I find it annoying b/c the menu is huge there so it takes a lot of work to look for stuff. I can't imagine how it's like for older folks who are not very good at using a phone.
Gahn Vietnamese (delicious!) on Kingsway (and some others) have the tablet at the table way of ordering which is a bit of an awkward experience (the way the tablet is set up makes it hard to use).
Damn, another wild fire in Lytton, just when they were starting to rebuild. That area is like the hottest spot in Canada or something crazy like that. I think it's time to close that town down and move into neighbouring cities.
Yah, this phenom of ordering from your table with QR code is a bit of lazy way to be a restaurant. If I wanted to order online, I'd do it through Ubereat. So, can we subtract 5% of tips since we, the customer, is actually placing the order now?
Then you got these dumb robots that take the food to the table and a waitress puts it on your table. Subtract another 5% tip.
i remember when i lived in korea for a little while around 2005 and i went to lan cafes all the time. ordering through the computer and having your cup noodles or snacks magically show up made me feel like i was living in the future.

Nowhere that does this stuff has any food worth eating anyways. If you aren’t interested in providing a good experience you aren’t going to be interested in food quality either. Just don’t even bother.
