Almost anything new will end up costing around 1k a month if you throw in gas and insurance.

if they want something used, thats a lot of money upfront that they might need in case of emergencies.

i can see this work if it was a flight less than 1 hr. I just don't know what you can do while you're standing. Do you even get a chance to put on a laptop?
