With torrents, unless you have lots of people serving that file, its going to be slow... this is why i dont use torrents..
i pay $40 for 6 months to a premium file host... usually have 6-8 file hosting sites that i can choose from.. I can download 1 xbox360 game in about 40mins.. which is pretty good.. plus burning time, i can play a game in about 1.5hours.
$40 is not a lot and is sure worth it, i can download as much movies/games/apps.. I had to buy an external HDD (WD3TB) and for all my Canto TV Shows (for my mom to watch), my collection is 10 shows so far... Have another WD3TB drive for my Xbox 360 games, only 1TB left.. dowloaded all these in about 2 months.. 1 more 3TB drive for my ANIME! Naruto/Bleach and so on.. These collection are at least 720p, sometimes 1080p if its out... so most of the episodes are at least 1gb each..
Now i have slowed down downloading coz there isnt much to download now.. maybe until i get PS3 or something...
the reason why file hosting sites >>>> torrents for me, is the fact that its basically streaming HD content.
i can start downloading a 13GB 1080p .mkv movie, and the instant i've started the download, i can open it up and watch it while the rest of it downloads. Don't have to plan in advance, just browse around, find something i like, and bam, watching it.
