Rack pull one week, deadlift the next. Or, Deadlift in beginning of week, rack pull near end. Depends on what your goals are/if you can recover in time/etc. I do the latter lately.

alright i will alternate weekly, are rackpulls basically putting the bar on the crash bars of the squat rack and lifting it off like the end of a deadlift? if so at what level should the bar be at in starting position on your body level & how much weight is usually done in comparison to your DL?

EDIT: nvm searched it up on youtube

I really like them because you can really push yourself and it's a totally different burn. My favourite exercise

I'm in such a shitty mood the last few days. I miss the gym, just pissed off 24/7 ... I'm itching to get back into it, If I can't walk soon I'm going to SC on crutches monday lol.

Every time I walk by a mirror now, I can't believe how far I've progressed in my first 4 weeks. Especially the last 2 after switching to an IF diet.

Tomorrow marks the start of week 5,which means 2 super heavy workouts Monday and Wednesday. Also means I'll be eating surplus calories for the first time in 4 weeks

Going straight from the gym to have ribs tomorrow

Ive been IF for a while now. So far in about 3 months I've put on 8 lbs which doesnt sound like much but I might have actually leaned out in the process.
Most people think I'm crazy when I tell them I go to the gym after not eaching for 15 hours. Strength and weight have gone up though. Numbers dont lie.

I love eating too... I just make sure I eat a lot of food for the time period that i can eat.. Workouts werent an issue at all. I thought it would be harder. The funny thing is I actually did it cuz I wanted to prove someone wrong that it wont work. I was wrong..

I gotta say, this has to be one of the best workout threads out of all the forums I visit. Full of (supposed) beasts/people who actually know what they are doing who focus on exercises and not how much of whatever supplement they should be taking to get ripped.

My stats right now are: 130/155/195lbs (working weight) for bench/squat/deadlift @130lbs. Hoping that those numbers will start going up since I just got off a 3 month lay off.

We are all positive and supportive here and that's what really makes a difference. This thread isn't a contest it's a place to come to remain on the right track and help you stay focused in your lifts. Only a couple "Beasts" here but lots of guys who are in great shape. Then again I guess your idea of Beast differs from person to person. IMO Beast is if your benching 300, Squatting 400, DL 500. That's just my thoughts though.

Berz out.

Did chest yesterday, finally got back on workout after 2 weeks of dying midterms and work. Sore pec muscles today, but the problem is I don't see the growth I had before when I worked out constantly. Maybe I'm expecting too much once I came back

Don't eat for 18 hours, lift a fuck ton of weight (for my current situation at least - deadlift = 264 lbs , go out, have a full fucken rack of ribs

Low rep high weight days are even easier on IF.

Hard to justify going back if you are seeing good results.

I have seen good results after a year of 5x5 but I switched to isolation last week. I will still bench on chest days, squat on leg days, and deadlift on back day. For me I just need to mix it up because I am getting bored.

I just finished a cycle of strength and tested my 1RM's and so far. Bench/Squat/Deadlift = 330/500/600 lbs at bodyweight 210lbs. My bench is weaksauce compared to my dead and squat.

Here's a video of my 500lb squat.

You can't really tell from the camera angle but I squat to 1inch below parallel. IPF Rules.

video unavailable. Those are great numbers by the way!

Anyone feel depressed after a workout? I don't know what it is but I've been feeling it the past week and on occasion during the summer, last 3 workouts actually but they were great. I even managed to hit some PR's. But afterwards I feel really down, and seriously like sometimes crying for no reason. I was embarrassed to talk to my co workers about it, because I actually don't know what it is.

I also haven't had any energy or motive to do anything else until it was time to workout.

Just want to see if some of the regulars might have experienced this.

Haha I sound insane, but I'm going to see someone about it scheduled this week.

edit: @strykn, I was at 515 for 4(DL) in august before a injury. Will report back asap with new number. Been focusing on squats, and box squats for recently
