Has anyone tried the $10 premium data? Do they just give you more data usage or is the speed better?

You can likely get the Irresistible 35 plan if you get to loyalty by threatening to cancel/port.
I don't know about any other plan that is eligible/offered by loyalty department.

This has probably been covered, but wanted to ask if anyone has experience with coverage in the Richmond Centre area?
Thinking about making the switch from Rogers to Wind

Thinking about making the switch from Rogers to Wind | Try a 2 week trial. I did it with Mobi and I believe Wind does it too.

Anyone know how pricing for the s6 thru wind will work?
I'm looking to sign on with a $40/month plan wondering how cheap I can get the s6 -- their site only lists preorder price or cost of buying outright

So if the phone is going to cost $750, minus up to a possible $250 in credits + whatever Wind offers as a promo when the time comes, you'll pay $500 + taxes for the phone.
You might want to talk to a WIND location about this for further clarification though.

Alright, so as some of you may or may not know.
Due to Roger's acquisition of Mobilicity, Rogers was required by the government to hand over some spectrum from Mobilicity to WIND, as part of the deal.
Based on this chart: ( Rogers-Mobilicity deal shakes up spectrum landscape, rewards Wind - The Globe and Mail)
WIND now has 20Mhz block of spectrum in BC, Alberta and Ontario, which is an addition of 10 MHz of spectrum in each region.
What does this mean?
It means that WIND can now improve on their network coverage and density. Which is a good thing because if you don't already know, WIND's reception has been deteriorating significantly in the last year due to increase of subscribers and not enough spectrum to improve their network. With an addition of 10 MHz block of spectrum (for free, mind you), there is one of two possible scenarios.
1. Introduce AWS LTE (4G) in BC, Alberta and Ontario, which will improve coverage, density, and speed
2. Expand their current network with HSPA+ AWS (3.5G)
The former is the most likely scenario as few tech companies upgrade with old/obsolete technology. LTE will also improve WIND's frequency penetration so that the reception is better with LTE than HSPA+ (better penetration through concrete/underground buildings).
Cheers! Good news for existing WIND subscribers. Overall, shitty for wireless competition in Canada today.

What's the difference with full speed vs throttled data speeds on Wind?
I'm looking to cancel with Rogers for something cheaper.

They may throttle your speed after you exceed your monthly data limit (5GB for basic data, 10GB for premium data).

Wind is rocking tons of spectrum.. almost double of what they had before...
As for LTE, I wouldnt recommend for them to start that just it.. they need to strength their HSPA network first and foremost.. why have 2 shotty networks... |

What phone is everyone using right now?
I have a LG G3 and want something similar.. but the only G3s that support it are T-Mobiles one and I don't trust eBay or Craigslist.
Thinking about the S6, but it's $100 more than the G4.

Alright, what's the best deal right now on Wind?
I'm thinking of selling my LG G3 for around $300-350 depending what I can get.
I'll probably get the $35 smartphone plan since I'm always on WiFi. The bulk of my current 6GB data plan on Rogers usually goes to YouTube/Facebook (which I can just cut out if I'm not on WiFi).
Does anyone have any sort of benchmarks of regular data speeds vs post-cap throttled data speeds?
In addition, I am looking at the WindTAB pricings for like the G4.
It's $499 on the WindTAB, but $0 if I do the $25 WindTAB Boost. If I calculate 25 * 24 = $600 so aren't people overpaying? Putting the $499 on a credit card is going to end up about $600 after interest assuming you don't pay it all off at the end of the year.
But anyways.. I'm thinking of either getting the LG G4 on WindTAB or OPO/Zenfone.
Anyone have any suggestions for Wind-compatible phones?

Yeah, I think I'm going to get the Zenfone 2.
$280 tax in, and if I bring it over to Wind, their BYOP service gives me $150 in add-on credits.
So for 15 months for $40 tax in, I get pretty much unlimited everything (throttled data after 4GB) which is going to save me about $23 dollars per month compared to Rogers.
My plan with Rogers was nice for $63 - 350 minutes/unlimited text and picture messaging/6GB data/VM/CID - but I'm looking to cut some monthly costs down and I don't use my phone as much as I do these days.
Seems like they will handle porting my number over from Rogers as well.

If I were you, I'd test out Wind first. It's really not for everybody, especially if you go to Richmond often (which I rarely go to). Your data plan's pretty decent for today's standards.
