really? I got through shortly after I msg'd and I got my full $90 bill credited, but was never asked to renew.

the hell, the rep told me I had to extend my contract by one month. I went ahead with it since i'm getting one month for free anyways.

after calling back and holding for another half hour, i got this nice guy who i told my story (yes i'm prone to stupidity) and he said i DID NOT have to renew for another one year extension in order to get the credit. confirmation code, done.

i like to do things the hard way lol. thks OP!

Just my guess, but perhaps some reps wanted to take advantage of this and get people to extend/renew so it'd look good on their part?

i have heard some BS that some csrs are giving my friends.

-1 year contract extension requirement
-"contract is too long" thats BS too since i saw a redflagdeal member get this promo and only renewed last week,
-its a scam/spam/fraud.. BS
-whats the text message or the number of the text message (these are hardcore bluffs from the rogers reps)

i called in yesterday...the rogers rep tried to get me to extend my contract by 2yrs.. i said no...but she still gave me the credit. so yes.. great stuff.. ! Thanks.

I called in and said i received the msg. Gave name, number, postal code, dob. Then she asks what was the number i received it from. Put her on hold for a minute. I said I cant finds it:badpokerface: And then she did it and gave me a month credit. I told her to do it for my other number, she said call in again and do it.

Called in again did the same thing and put me on hold and checked in her system and said that i am eligible.

saved $160 :fullofwin:

Called last night at 845pm and finally got through at around 920pm.

Told them I got a txt message and she said np let me check if you're eligible. Came back after a min and said yup no problem we'll credit your Voiceplan.

Even sent me an email confirmation that it was done too. Didn't get the full bill credited like some people but I don't care it was still worth it.

just called... checked for the tags attached to the texts and said I never got it. And it was only for people who did a hardware upgrade within 90 days or something. Will call again later...

Just called in, got a lady with a brown accent. She asked me when I got the text message and just some information like phone number, postal code, and account holder's name. Then she says she has to check the eligibility of my account. She comes back and says that she is only applying a $25 dollar credit to my account for next month because it is only for voice plan and not add-ons like data plans. I argued that the text said it would have my whole plan credited on the text message but she said sorry only it's only for monthly voice plans. It may be different with each CSR so it just depends how lucky you are! Well Nonetheless I still saved $25 so I can't complain. Thanks again OP!

CONFIRMED! You guys who say the number is discontinued are probably just lazy :fuckthatshit:

1)After the line says it is discontinued, just call the number that they told you to call to reach them. I think it was 1-888-764-3771. Press (5)? for Sales and someone will get to you.

2)Tell them about the text you received about the free month credit and they will refer you to a customer service representative

3)The person I talked to was Sean, he was really nice and all he asked for was my postal code, the text which I "received" the promo from which is 4735. After this, he said that it is confirmed and I just needed to wait a couple minutes for them to put it on my account.

I think I was quite lucky. Took a while but it was worth it. Good luck everyone
