Where did you end up going to buy your car? Parents are looking to get a new car and we'd prefer not going to BJBMW.

If you prefer not to go with BJBMW then you will not like my answer to your question :).

I guess it depends on the sales person you meet, but I think there is a reason why BJ BMW accounts for 40% of all BMW sales with so many dealers, they must be doing something right. I've had great experience with them and so did all of my friends. Having said that, a friend of mine works there... so my friends and I get VIP treatment.

If you are looking for good service and great price, i can get you in touch. Our owner owns the BMW store.

Please don't take my sarcasm the wrong way, but your post came out a bit funny. No, I bet we are all looking for a bad service and a horrible price! LOL

BlackZRoadster 02-27-2012 10:23 AM

^ Everyone expects that, but not everyone gets good service AND good pricing.

We can match or beat any price, i'm sure i can get you more discount but since you're buying from a friend, that's ok to pay more. Your friend does need to make a living too.

Did you get a 28 or 35? Sport line is my choice too! :)

wstce92 02-27-2012 10:29 AM

BMW Store by far has the best service pre and post purchase imho. ask for James Lee.
But Autowest is great too.
I prefer the sales of BMW Store and the servicing of Autowest :p
Nothing to prefer at BJBMW other than a funny name if that kinda thing makes you laugh.

@F30 -lol, since your buddy works at BJ, I don't think you have a good idea of what they're like. And sometimes you get sales just by being the biggest dealership. From what I hear though, Autowest and BMW Store are seriously chipping away at BJ sales wise. Of course that could be all hearsay.

seriously, I am surprised so many people worry about fuel economy when buying a supposed premium sedan. When it is all said and done, depreciation is the greatest factor in value, not fuel economy.

to me it's not miles per gallon (mpg), it's smiles per gallon!

@BlackZRoadster - It's funny how you and I look at things so differently. I go to a friend because he can do me a favor and discount the price while still providing a great service, he'll cut his pay because when he needs something from me, I'll return the favor. By your comments I'm supposed to get a better deal from a stranger. Are you a salesperson? And if you really think you are right, PM me with a quote for the car I just ordered. If its lower that what I got, you'll have my business.

I went with 328, for a daily driver it's perfect. See my sig for details. :)

I would go to a friend too.

But if it's purely based on price then I would go to whoever gives the best deal.
You can pm me the quote and I can beat it if we have the same car coming in. If not it can always be ordered

Hard decision, should I spend the extra to get 335i?

Thoughts?

Good choice F30!

The car is now in production at the factory, should be built in a week to a week and a half. Then shipping time is unknown.

In case anyone else is wondering, in Canada the way to check the status of the car is to call 1-800-567-2691 and provide them with either VIN or Production # and they will tell you the status of the vehicle.

Nice, you actually ordered it from the factory and didn't pick it out off the lot. Pictures when you get it!

You bet. :)

For those who may be curious, another small update.
It took exactly a week for the car to go from in production to completed, it is now waiting to be shipped. :D

godwin 03-13-2012 02:25 PM

Most BMWes are done on a per order basis.. it is also a method for the dealers to reduce the buyer's negotiating power by keeping the stock low. It also allow buyers to do the "Customer experience" / "European delivery" service.. though in Canada it is an additional cost, in the States it is a lot cheaper.

Parkshore and BMW Store have great service.

Parkshore will low ball your ass for trade ins, so that's what turned me away TWICE.

When I mean low ball I mean much lower than the stealership trade in prices.

F30 03-13-2012 09:35 PM

Didn't even get the car and I am already thinking of changes (lol), found some pics with different wheels

Super excited for you! Been eyeing the new 328i for a while now :)

artmotion 04-25-2012 11:48 PM

Congrats! I drove the 328i and love the interior. I was a bit skeptical, thinking that the 335i would leave this thing in the dust but it had surprisingly nice power delivery.

Here's some inspiration for when you take delivery:

and I really really hope that they bring this badboy over:
