Forgot to post this. Went to a preview of a "pop-up" restaurant at the Hotel Vancouver's 15th floor a few weeks ago. They weren't finished...no floors, no decor but they had plenty of bartenders serving drinks and samples of the menu going around.
make sure you go to a good sausage + beer place in germany and post pictures so i can envy you and endlessly drool a river.

Who would forget something like that? Back to my food adventures in Europe this past summer with a visit to Berlin for roast pork knuckle. I don't know why German food has such a boring rep. I love this stuff.
Ronin, will you be attending the Healthy chef competition next week?
I believe it was you that went a few years ago.

Went to that Helsinki market in the harbor so hung over I was puking over the rail into the water lol. Up all night drinking after a long flight then chasing it with big slabs of fried dough a bad combo Posted via RS Mobile
Had a little too much sushi and dim sum in Vancouver lately? Maybe mix it up a little with some Filipino cuisine! Some friends and I recently made the safari out to Coquitlam to try Kulinarya Filipino Eatery.
You must get the crispy Pata (pork belly) and, if you're a bit more adventurous, this delicious Sizzling Sisig. If you're not that adventurous, order it anyways...and maybe just don't ask what's in it...
Between the 4 of us, I think it was $100 all in, which I thought was pretty damn good considering we ordered half the menu. Had a little bit left over for next day's lunch.
So I'm putting together a little video series featuring Vancouver restaurants. Here's the vid. The contest will go live on Vancity Buzz tomorrow. Giving away $100 to eat at Mosiac, the restaurant featured in the video.
