My case/screen protectors arrived on august 8, a full 3 weeks from when they were shipped, with that said it come on the first day of expected delivery. ETA was August 8-15....the case i recieved has minor cracks in it above the cutouts for the camera-flash-speaker. Kind of like what ever machine was used to do the cutting used too much pressure or too dull blades, therefore it kind of caused cracks to appear. But fortunately my s3 is white so you can't really see them unless you look super close

I've had wireless issues for a while now, but i played with some router setting and it still isn't fixed. I know its because of the phone, all my devices work perfectly.

few others on XDA also have problem with this issue

atang23 08-12-2012 09:54 PM

does anyone know why Tango on the S3 lags so much? I have my LTE 4G on and it still lags.

m3thods 08-13-2012 06:43 PM

I figured I'd bump with some info that might be of some use.

I recently unlocked my SGS3 with cellunlock.net (note: not cellunlockER), and with one of their many coupon codes it only came up to about 8 bucks (compared to 15 with cellunlocker). I used crackb50 lol

It took 4 days to get the code, but it worked.

Simplex123 08-13-2012 09:04 PM

^ I went on cellunlocker and got the code within an hour. Posted a how to video on YouTube showing the steps to unlock the phone and got the money refunded.

Finally, some good news for the Galaxy S III users out there. The Jelly Bean update for the flagship smartphone is almost ready and will be released alongside the Galaxy Note II at the Samsung press conference on August 29.

YES YES YES YES YES

Can't wait for Project Butter and GoogleNow!

Although will there be a lag time for mobile service providers to release this?

m3thods 08-14-2012 09:13 AM

Probably, though lately it seems as though Rogers is quick to send it out to their users (when compared to the others and especially compared to AT&T)

I'm all for speed enhancements. Can't wait!

J.C 08-15-2012 03:17 AM

trading my iphone 4s for a pebble blue s3 tomorrow that apparently has a "small" nick
straight trade :fuckyea:
hopefully the nick isn't too bad because the pictures they sent me were taken by a toaster or something lol

any common problems i should lookout for and where can i find warranty information on it?

m3thods 08-15-2012 01:27 PM

Not if you're keeping it stock.

If you're rooting/flashing, I suggest reading XDA thoroughly to prevent any miscues, such as losing your IMEI or tripping a so-called "flash counter".

It's a great phone- takes a bit of time to adjust from iOS, but nothing major.

Is there anyway to change how you take calls? I find that swiping the green incoming phone icon is a bit sluggish at times.

J.C 08-15-2012 08:00 PM

how do i make it so that it shows like 5 emails in my notification menu instead of just 1?
sorry, im a noob, just got the phone today

LiquidTurbo 08-18-2012 06:05 PM

Is there an "iCloud" equivalent for the s3?

bakasam 08-18-2012 06:30 PM

Google Calender
Google Contacts
Google Music
Google Docs

or are you talking about backing up?

LiquidTurbo 08-18-2012 06:53 PM

Backup of configuration and apps. Gf's S3 touchscreen died.

I think Google keeps a backup of your apps periodically. I know when I moved from my Captivate to my S3, it started downloading pretty much all the apps I had downloaded/installed in the last 3-4 months.

As for configuration, there really isn't anything aside from Nandroid backups if you want to keep the phone as it was prior to malfunctioning. Not sure if this is the case still, but when restoring using TiBU (assuming your gf's phone is rooted), you never restored system preferences as that could cause problems. But like I said, I'm not sure if that's still the case.

_Jchau 08-19-2012 12:32 AM

I want this phone so bad, but don't want to get this and end up wanting the iPhone 5 even more when that comes out .

Vansterdam 08-19-2012 01:28 AM

rather have the s3 over iphone 5

I think you have to turn on the backup feature when you first use your phone but I'm not sure. I just use Titanium.

Yeah during the initial setup there was a question asking "if i wanted to restore my apps and preferences". I didn't know that meant install every app that I every bought from Play :okay:

Expresso 08-20-2012 11:47 AM

Stupid Q, but does anyone know a place that has screen protectors in stock with install on the cheap besides night market?

Simplex123 08-20-2012 12:04 PM
