so does anyone know why my s3 doesn't have video call option? |
nevermind, found out that the i747m doesn't have this feature on stock rom. |

Dang normally I'd be over the mood regarding an OTA which finally came, but now it's just "where's JB" :okay: |
the OTA update fixed a lot of bugs. Its definitely running smoother than when i first got my phone. For those who haven't updated. You should do it! That is unless you're running a custom ROM |

The one thing I am astounded by is the increased battery life. Normal usage today and where I'm usually around 65% at this point of the day, I'm just about at 80% :ahwow: If this remains AND we get that JB smoothness from Robellus' JB update? Man what a phone that would be :) |
^ is that with LTE on or off? I've had LTE disabled coz of batt life but if the update improves it I will turn it on again. |
^ LED notification are finally fix (one reason it doesn't drain as much battery). This was a big issue for me when i first got the phone. The lightflow app didn't work accurately either. Now everything is smooth as butter. |
What was wrong with the stock LED notifications? I had Lightflow installed for a time but it killed my battery. |
well OOB LED notification was never "flashing". It was a constant LED light. (I would assume this wasted way more battery ??) As for battery. Mine seems to be pretty stable. 4G on most of the time, turn on LTE when i need to download/surf the web. Sync toggled when needed. GPS off. Lowest brightness setting ( Auto when outdoors). No battery saving app. I get about 20 hours total with 4 hours of screen time. edit: one problem it didn't fix was the cell standby. Not sure why that report still inaccurate. Some say it actually affects battery life on XDA forums |

You're right the led is now fixed, but I never thought much of it staying on all the time. It is nice though to get the colour you actually set instead of guessing what's going to come out :P Posted via RS Mobile |

I didnt realize I could root the S3 without wiping the phone until today. How to Root U.S. and Canada Galaxy S3 SGH-T999/SGH-I747/SPH-L710! [Fail-Proof][Noob-Proof][U.S. Cellular] | GalaxyS3Root.com With all my prior phones, rooting reset the phone |
Kinda skimmed over the liveblogs of the iPhone 5 launch... Gotta say, still pretty happy with my S3 :fuckyea: |
Anyone miss the profile features on BB? I wish they have it on android. When I am sleeping, I want to turn whatsapp, email, and text notifications off but keep calls on. |

Hey guys, just a couple questions. I noticed there's a dual core and quad core version of the GS3. Aside from the obvious, what is the difference? And which one should I get? |
Quote:
Quadcore has no LTE and less RAM. I believe only International markets got this. |
So basically it comes down to whether or not I want/need LTE |

edit: looks like the LTE doesn't work in North America. |
