I have the North American version from Rogers. Yes, I downloaded another camera app and its better than the original one but still not as great as it should be. The stock camera is pretty bad on mine.

No, but overall I have not been impressed with the phones Camera at all.

Phones camera is only good when taking pics outside in the sun. I still think that overall, the iphones camera is superior :(

Yea, in the end I don't really care. I just got the S3 and came from a Bold 9780 so this camera already far exceeds what I'm used to. Plus my gf has the I5 so we got 2 options for picture taking. I don't even remember the last tiem I really used my actual camera lol

hd video recording is preety sick

is there any way to prevent the sounds from being really distorted from too much bass or from really loud concerts when your recording videos?

i thought the camera was preety awesome

Looks like Rogers JB update is pushed to Early December.

After saying I wouldn't root/custom rom my s3 after doing it to my Captivate, I think I'll take the plunge this weekend.

In some the videos I've recorded you can see the camera auto-focusing every few seconds, which in some cases kinda ruins the quality. Here's an example, a video clip I took at FD Seattle this summer (watch in hd):

Has anybody experienced any texting glitches? A few days ago my S3 sent out a random msg that I have typed out months ago then it happened once again today. This does not show up on my phone but gets delivered to whom ever I'm talking to. So fucking weird! The funny thing is, the msg the phone sent was from an old fight with the gf so she got super mad at me again lol. I swear this phone is trolling me :(

Just had my S3 for 5 days now and last night it did that. I called my gf and she said asked why I texted her saying I Was at the cinema. I looked and there was the text. However, this was not a text I typed or pre typed at any point of owning the phone. In fact I haven't even searched, typed or even use the word cinema. Odd

Really hope Bell will release soon

So I assigned a MP3 as the ringtone for my gf but just realized when she textes or whatsapps me the same MP3 will play. Is there anyway to keep the MP3 for just when she calls?

If someone calls you, you'll notice a pull-up menu. Enclosed are pre-typed messages to tell the person calling you you're busy. You can edit these messages in the settings. The first default one is "I am at the cinema" :fullofwin:

As for the other random message from the other guy- perhaps it was floating around your phone network and for some reason it decided to send now.

Worth a shot. I'd avoid the Samsung Store for customer service. They tried to weasel their way out of exchanging a phone bought outright, and instead insisted on just replacing the battery (which was part of the original issue). Only when threatened with a return did they give me a brand new box.

I'd deal with Samsung, of if you bought it from a carrier, them first.
