Noticed this as well since I've updated to Jelly Bean, but instead of just Whatsapp, it is almost everything else for me. Everything seems to be less responsive than before. :fuuuuu:

still no update :(...which carrier are you guys with

InteGSR-99 11-27-2012 08:05 PM

How would you get the official Jellybean update? Would it just notify me on my phone like all the other updates and then I just download it? Kinda new to android.

What keyboard are you guys using? Im using the stock keyboard and I can't type worth shit. I tried the free version of Swift 3 and it wasn't much better than the stock one, unless I didn't really know how to use it properly. I came from using a Blackberry for so long which the typing was by far the best. Give me some advice guys! LOL.

Lol I'm pretty new to android as well. Was a blackberry user as well..this is my first android phone. This was my first update on this phone. It just came up as a notification one day and that was that. I'm using the stock keyboard. I've heard lots of good things about Swift, but I've gotten used to the stock one. The only issue I'm having post-update is the responsiveness. Quite laggy at times. :fuuuuu: ..and yes I agree with the blackberry typing. I often find myself missing having a keypad.

I know WTF, I thought Jelly Bean was supposed to be faster? Yet it's so laggy that I keep typing shit wrong but everything else actually seems faster. LOL

Maybe try keymonk free, I've been using it and like it better than the stock keyboard. Haven't tried swiftkey.

I don't think the Samsung Store will be too much help, since they're not technically affiliated with Samsung like Apple/MS stores are with, well, Apple and MS. The Samsung store is just a glorified WirelessWave.

You're probably better off giving Samsung Canada a call.

Using the stock camera app, it's sufficient enough for me.

Ordered this. From the review it seems pretty good. and for its price, its pretty worth it.

Normal. The key is to not use it!

I feel like standby in itself drains the battery like mad.

I usually have a charger at work that I just plug whenever I feel like it, but if I am going to be out for the whole day, I'll usually just put my phone on 2G mode. It's more than sufficient for texts and Whatsapp.

m3thods 11-29-2012 11:21 PM

For those of you using Swype-

Is it crashing every time you try to use it? I am getting used to Swiftkey again, but Swype is so much better imo :okay:

You're probably on the LTE network.

For me on "4g", I can squeeze in about 10.5 hours with heavy usage before it would need a full charge.

But with the LTE network, my phone would lose 60% of its charge from 5 hours of usage :lawl:
