When I had a scooter before, I would usually take knight bridge to enter Richmond.

Going down knight bridge getting up to speeds of 85kmh :fullofwin:

But there's that small hill to climb ::rukidding:

Then it's a minor slope down to the Bridgeport exit :fuckyea:

Insurance is one of the big factors, scooter itself is also dirt cheap. Gas is supposed to be something crazy cheap like $5 per 150kms or so.

Speaking for myself, im still in HS, and a big motorcycle costing 3-4k along with 2-3k insurance is just out of what people would call reasonable.

I did look into some big bikes like an R6 or GSXR but didnt want it to kill me till later in life :fullofwin:

you will regret what you just said. When you get older, you don't want to tell people that used to ride a scooter.

a 50cc scooter is just as dangerous as riding a 600cc

Yeah, and I am somewhat speaking from experience. I've been riding motorcycles for 7 years and scooters, when driven correctly in a proper manner, are fun, cheap and safe. Nothing bothers me more than driving down a street with some tool on a 50cc scooter going 20kph with the throttle half open, hugging the sidewalk. Either drive IN traffic the way you're supposed to or GTFO the road.

Actually, most people in the city drive in the low 60's which isn't too far off from a scooter's top speed and also, considering the speed limit is supposed to be 50km/h in the city, people shouldn't have too much of a reason to be pissed at a scooter doing 58km/h.

If you feel safe topping out a scooter while cars are passing you going 20+km/h faster while road raging and wanting to cut you off for slowing up traffic, then good for you. Some people prefer to be cautious.

What scooter is this and what speeds were you getting up the hill?

Derbi Bullet, one of the faster 2 strokes.

I forgot what speed the scooter was going at climbing the knight bridge, I think it was around the 60-65km range.

It can go 80kmh flat out.
