i remember in or near the end of the forth stage, takumi's dad got a gc8 didnt he? what ever happened to it? talking abt the anime no manga here.

Never watched or read Initial D so I'm going to watch this after my exams. First 2 episodes already make me want to sell my LOLvo and get something else

now im curious how they built the car, all the other information seems pretty accurate. ive been avoiding this show because it sounds so hokey but i gotta admit, its pretty damn good... does that now make me a fanboy?
Oh man this brings me back... flying through the Nagoya expressway in the middle of the night.. there is nothing like it... it's basically like a giant race track above the city, with elevation changes and everything

From my belief, that 86 was never stock to begin with. I'm pretty sure Bunta did something to that car during his racing days
Burned myself a CD with all these Initial D tracks when I was 17 and driving an MR2 (AW11, had the same 4A-GE as the AE86).
I'm 25 now and still keep that same CD in my S2000. Still play it when I go for a drive, and still roll up the windows and turn down the volume every time I pull up to a red light
For those with Xbox 360, download the “Crackle” app (its free) they have every episode for the main series on it. I believe crackle is available on PC as well, I only use in my xbox myself.
Funny this post came up. I found Initial D on crackle about a week ago, and started watching from the beginning again. I watched them years ago, and have been waiting for stage 5 since about 2007…….Still waiting.
I also forgot how screwed up some of the sub plots were with some of the girl characters. No spoilers, but um, WTF Japan?
ohhh ok. so 4th stage has been out for years then, yes?
