What apps so you guys recommend downloading? Posted via RS Mobile | If your ready to dive in, flashing a custom ROM would be a biggy. New apps are cool and all but you don't learn anything until you flash a ROM and start looking at the internals of how Android (linux really) works.

Most popular Rom right now for the NA Note II is CleanRom I think.
That's what I'm using. It also enables the "Multi-View" function. [ROM][12/15] CleanROM 3.3 -★| Aroma! | JB 4.1.2! | Multi-View! | Fast! | Clean! |★- - xda-developers
Kernels controls the CPU/GPU speed and also affects the battery life.
Here is a better definition I googled quickly: "The term kernel comes from Linux, which is kind of the forerunner of Android. All Android phones come with a kernel installed on them. It is the communication link between hardware and software. One of its most important functions is Battery usage and the kernel dictates the life of your phone battery."
The CleanROM comes with 2 kernels to choose from when you go through the installation.

For the N7100 I would check out this Rom: [ROM] Android Revolution HD 6.0 | High Quality & Performance | AROMA | Android 4.1.2 - xda-developers

Please bare with me, but I tried googling how to copy of my angry birds games from my SGS to my Note 2. Most of the instructions I found is the same one reposted on different forums and the apps they recommend either are no longer on Google play or does not work on a non-rooted Jelly bean.
I'd like to keep my 3 stars and golden eggs.
Any recommendations?

Any recommendations? | Well you will need a back up. Usually a titanium back up is all you need. As a precautionary measure, copy the angry birds home directory and reinstall the new angry birds in your phone. Restore the game data with titanium and you should be good. Otherwise the game directory back up, look and replace the data accordingly to make the saves work. Posted via RS Mobile |

Will rooting the phone cause me to loose any of the saved data?

I did some research, apparently some apps keeps in in 'awake' mode and does not go into deep sleep........
They recommend cpu spy and better battery stats app to keep track of what is turned on.

one is about the free note happening at best buy (wondering if I could call and get credited)
and the other is about the previous update with my phone problems.
Rogers tech guys actually told me that I got a buggy phone and to send it back to get refurbed or fixed.
its just such bs because the phone is only 3 weeks old and it has past the return date by a week.
felt like I got scammed.
