I think I'm getting really spoiled with the Note II's battery life.
It's just crazy!

Do any of you actually use the S-Pen often? I can't find the need to use it as much as I would like except when playing touch based games like Plants Vs Zombies.

i have an office job and i like to type with the pen with swype so i dont have to pick the phone up haha. /lazy
but the pen is useful when in cold weather like today. cant type on my nexus 4 with gloves on i could buy those touch screen gloves but dont really want to spend haha.
I just bought some NFC tags! Should get here soon.
You download an NFC App, and program your tag to do what you want it to. Then you stick the tag on wherever you want, and just tap your phone on it - the tag will change your setting.
I think the most popular app so far is called NFC Task Launcher. NFC tags are pretty widely available.

Any way to turn off "silent mode" automatically when u are home?
There might be an app for that, but it would be based on your GPS location, so the app will have to be constantly locating your position all the time. Your battery life would be greatly impacted.
Furthermore you can find an app that will turn on and off services/features based on time.
LOL or you could go develop that!

name: silent off home
Context: Cell near (press search and it will look for cell towers in your house, best walk around your whole house while its searching in case you are in range of more than 1 tower)
task: enable ringtone, + whatever else you want e.g. turn off auto brightness, set brightness to max, basically anything that your phone can do, it can automate it.
I use it for things like turning gps on only when i open certain apps, or turning wifi on when im in my home cell tower. Also if you do end up using tasker use "cell near" whenever possible because doing it by cell tower instead of gps or wifi saves a shit load of battery.
Been trying to root my Note 2 for the past 45 mins and still can't get Odin to detect my phone when in recovery mode. I think I am missing some stupid ass usb driver. Odin detects my phone when the phone isn't in recovery mode, once i turn it off and put it to recovery mode, odin doesn't detect my phone.

You sure you got that right?
You have to put it into "DOWNLOAD Mode" to use ODIN.
Don't boot into your recovery like CWR or TWRP.
