Yes this IS the first game, maybe an omen?... you do realize it's ONLY a 48 game season, even just 1 game, every game, means a lot. | Say they start him in the next game, and he lets in 5 goals in the first 2 periods. Then what?
Too early in the season to tell anything, but if there is a problem, it's with the team, not the goaltending!
Anyway, I wasn't against trading him away before, but with a short season I really think it's worth keeping him around for one more season. On the other hand, the team's offense is pretty thin, so....
I will say that the call-ins are going to be hilarious

Short season, they should keep both goalies. Trade Lu in the off season, who knows his stock rises cause he'll find his old form.

Rust + no Kesler + no Booth + AHL journeyman anchoring our second line + A prospect who should be in the AHL right now, but instead he's playing on our second line = Terrible showing
We need a healthy Kes back, ASAP. Even though I doubt we'll ever see a 100% Kes again.
